How you take out or put in a nose stud is based on how its made, the one they put in was spiral on the end so it would stretch the whole. It was thicker then the normal studs with the ball. Instead of trying to pull it out iv learned the less painful way was is to twist it out. ur not suppose to do that but it hurts less. U can use sea salt as well, or rubbing alcohol. MAKE SURE if u have a job they are ok with it. If u take it out before time it WILL grow up fast. Hope this helps.

@rose43ful Please don't get it pierced with a gun, Tori. Guns can't be sterilized, which means if someone bleeds on the gun and they have a disease of some sort, you are prone to it. The gun is much more painful I think, because your nose is thicker than your ear. The needle doesn't hurt that bad at all. It's really just a pinch, like you were getting an ear pierced. You'll be fine(:

@rose43ful Needle's wayyy better! Trust me. =) Tattoo shop, and they usually do piercings too, in the uk its about £20 to get it done. I have a surgical steel stud with a little diamond in it =) Its really cute! I'm such a whimp and it didn't hurt that much at all!! Don't risk a gun it hurts so much more.

The pain wasn't bad at all , But it does depend on your pain tolerance. It goes by very fast though ! My eyes watered automatically, which was weird but she said it was normal and most peoples eyes water. :)
if it gets infected, DO NOT TAKE IT OUT. I did, and it closed in 4 hours. and i had it for a year already at the time. I got it re done over scar tissue a week later and it hurt like a bitch. but the origional piercing was like a 2 on a scale 1 to 10.

also; some people get big bumps on/near their piercing...sometimes its a blood blister, but sometimes its a keloid... they hurt, a lot; and if you start to get a bump, and its to early to take out, then you need to clean it A LOT! but i was told that the best and easiest way to get rid of it, while in the shower, take out the stud/ring, massage the bump, put the ring back in. never leave it out for more then a minute or two. it should start to go away soon after this(heat relaxes the muscles)

@cupcakecosmetic hey I have a nose piercing since like a year and a half now and no there is no stud on the back because you could end up inhaling that or blowing it out everytime you blow your nose.
I bent mine on the inside so it looks like an L shape and that pretty much keeps it in for me, i have never had it fall out. There are also ones that have spirals as backs but those hurt for me to put in.
I got mine done with a gun and it was no big deal just saying.

Mine cost $40 also. The gun is very painful! Those are only at kiosks in malls. Really do go to a piercing and tattoo shop. Yes it happens so fast! For me it hurt like a pinch.

@msjulieinthecity Thank you for assuming. I have had three of my ears done with guns before I knew they used they use the same gun over and over again on people which is not sanitary. It hurt to sleep on my ears. Everyone is different though when it comes to pain.

People need to get off your ass. Each piercer does things differently, whether it be the way they pierce or how to take care of it. Also, each person is different in how it feels. Most people's nose piercings hurt bc of the nerve endings in your nose. For example, mine bled everywhere. These people need to quit talking out of their asses unless they're certified piercers and like I said, even then, all piercers are different.

The guy who did my nose made me buy a regular NASAL saline solution. He told me specifically NOT to use contact solution. @ittybittyannie you can clean it with anti-bacteria hand soap or any anti-bacterial soap too, my piercer told me to use soap and water. i got the bump to, i left it alone for a week and then popped it and blood came out, and it went away. a lot of people get them. my piercer told me to leave it in for 8 weeks (2 months) and then change it. so i guess its just different anywhere you go.

I got the bump for not cleaning it, but use h20 ocean salt spray every day and put peroxide on it and it will go away.

@cupcakecosmetic hey I have a nose piercing since like a year and a half now and no there is no stud on the back because you could end up inhaling that or blowing it out everytime you blow your nose.
I bent mine on the inside so it looks like an L shape and that pretty much keeps it in for me, i have never had it fall out. There are also ones that have spirals as backs but those hurt for me to put in.
I got mine done with a gun and it was no big deal just saying.
my eyes watered but thats it

i have mine done and i got mine done at 12. it didnt hurt at all. i was scared but that was it. like not scared nut nervous but uhm, like the only thing that happened was that my eye watered. and it was just the eye on the side that it got pierced on.

it really depends on how much cardilage is in your nose. Like, you could have very little and the people who have a lot are the ones who say it hurts

@tiffndavid242 That is probably cheap jewelry. You are not supposed to start off with sterling silver. You have to pay for the jewelry. Did you get yours done at a kiosk?

Mine cost $40 also. The gun is very painful! Those are only at kiosks in malls. Really do go to a piercing and tattoo shop. Yes it happens so fast! For me it hurt like a pinch.

@symmetricalastic the guns aren't painful I had mine done with a gun and all that happened was that my eye watered for a second. So I am sorry but if you didn't have it done with a gun don't say its painful because you didn't experience so stop giving wrong information.

@msjulieinthecity Thank you for assuming. I have had three of my ears done with guns before I knew they used they use the same gun over and over again on people which is not sanitary. It hurt to sleep on my ears. Everyone is different though when it comes to pain.

People need to get off your ass. Each piercer does things differently, whether it be the way they pierce or how to take care of it. Also, each person is different in how it feels. Most people's nose piercings hurt bc of the nerve endings in your nose. For example, mine bled everywhere. These people need to quit talking out of their asses unless they're certified piercers and like I said, even then, all piercers are different.

What style of nose stud do you wear? Im 14, and I got mine when I was 13, and when I first got it they put in a hook one, but I found it easier to put the ones with the ball on the end easier to put in, but now I want to change it again and it hurts waaay bad when I try to take it out :c

@agirlneedsagun That's not true at all. The ONLY thing that was wrong was when I said it takes 4 months to heal. I corrected that in an annotation. NOT ALL saline solutions are contact solutions. The guy who did my nose made me buy a regular NASAL saline solution. He told me specifically NOT to use contact solution. I'm not trying to be rude either, I'm just saying that I'm not wrong with the entire video like you made it out to be.

There is a huge difference between saline solution & the multi-purpose solution now commonly used to clean & disinfect contact lenses.You want PLAIN sterile saline solution to clean piercings. Contact solution has preservatives & other things in it.
**I'm allergic to contact solution but not saline solution.

@ittybittyannie you can clean it with anti-bacteria hand soap or any anti-bacterial soap too, my piercer told me to use soap and water. i got the bump to, i left it alone for a week and then popped it and blood came out, and it went away. a lot of people get them. my piercer told me to leave it in for 8 weeks (2 months) and then change it. so i guess its just different anywhere you go.

haha i got a bubble on my belly piercing! easier to hide though haha... i got a gold just cause i was leaving it in. i use cheap ones for my ears only. and i hate changing it. but you should have said to avoid touching it unless you washed your hands. it messed mine up at least ;p
