When all the A380´s end up in some remote desert aircraft graveyard when airlines had enough of it and all the problems that the A380 is plagued with, the 747-8i will still be flying.

First to note I'm not talking bad about Boeing but bio-fuel is a scam. It costs about 800$ a gallon . In my opinion Boeing should be and is I bet is liquid methane it's just a better fuel source and cost a lot less. The 747-8 other then that is the best plane I have seen in a long time but I would love Boeing to come out with liquid methane planes first since Boeing is the best Plane maker on earth. Side note the 787 looks so nice I cant wait to push it back from SFO.

Sorry, but folk can rave on about the A380 all they want, I've been a spotter for 30 years now and I have the chance to see all of the current A380's that are flying and you know what. None of them matter because I still love to see the grand old lady of the skies the 747.

Money and economy is one thing, but the 747's beauty is timeless, despite her now 40 year's. Well done Boeing!

Nice plane. Was nice until A380. Now it looks old (especially to Airbus), and it is old no matter what Boeing saying "new airplane". New in what? - construction? ..or conception? ..or avionic? ...or economic efficient?... or capacity? ...is it better than what - the previous 747 models or than A380? Is it easier and more friendly for the crew or maintenance than Airbus? I don't think so, regarding to my personal experience maintaining all of the Boeing and Airbus family. It's time for a changes

@ARMATURISTA Its better then the 747-400, like she said. It carries more passengers, more fuel efficient, new flight control computer etc..The 747-8 is basically a new generation 747 just like the A330 is a new gen A300 and the 737-800 and 900's are new gens of the classic 737's.

@littlechickification I just wish they would change how they actually measure leg room in these plans. Having the seat slide forward while you recline reduces the leg room so much... I'm average height at 6 feet and my knees are against the back rest of the seat in front if they recline...

I appreciate the technological feats in fuel economy and sheer size of the aircraft, but I really think they are missing the mark in what travelers are going to demand in the not-too-distant future. Places all around the world that have seen so few visitors are opening up and new markets all over the world are diversifying and multiplying. It would seem we need smaller capacity, more frequent connections, not gigantic, less frequent ones. Am I way off?
