Didn't they mention that day 36 was the last day to use the hidden idol? That means next episode would be the last time he can use it, so he wouldn't even have to compete in the actual immunity challenge if he chooses not too.

i think he will still try to play for the idol in the next challenge, because he doesnt want the other team to win the idol. and if shambo or jason win the immunity challenge, then that puts russell's team in a very strong position
