  • I'm going to try something like this but no covers. I'll just check the water level every few days after I get an idea of how long it takes for the water to evaporate.

  • I may be crazy and you may be crazy but if you build one of these you will polish some very nice rocks. I am running a 1/3 HP motor that turns at 1725 RPM. I started with a 1/2 HP motor turning at 3450 RPM. I am getting a better grinding action with the slower motor and have never loaded down the 1/3 HP.

  • you do realise you are a bit crazy, do you not? I'm building one similar- and I'm insane. BTW, how many rpm does that motor run at?
