You're so cute, and very talented =) Would you like to try and audition for our Kachou Wa Maid-Sama fandub? You can still audition for characters that have been casted aswell.
You've got a really nice voice, and your portrayal of the different emotions in this reel is to be applauded. There's nothing than I can notice to be pointed out, as far as critiques go.
Wow oh wow , you have a reallllly nice voice... But I heard mouse clicks .... Sorry I'm just nit picky about that ^^; though editors can just edited out so noo big deal :) also your higher voice sometimes sounds a little forced but that's alright it will come naturally soon (haven't seen your newer videos) but it will sound pretty much perfect! It sounds really great as it is ! Excellent job :3
(Cont.) As per your singing, it was better than I could pull off, but it still seems a bit iffy. I suggest breathing and voice exercises. When you did "Drunk Yukari" I dont think she sounded so much drunk, as batshit insane. You should work on keeping not pitch and loudness of your voice under control. Not working on these will leave listeners deaf, or upset.
All in all, it was okay. But there is still much to be had.
@klwarthen Im not a pro either and I thank you for all your advice. I have since this video gotten better at changing my pitch and maintaining them (honestly even some professional VA's only have a few voices they are comfortable with) The song I did sort of to show my singing and sort of to pratice matching the flapps. I am in my chorus and theater and do voice and breathing exercises everyday. And you also have to admit Yukari is somewhat insane anyway, haha
I've actually been working on my voices as well, and I'm getting pretty excited about it. I was recently contacted to work with SCAD design majors as a voice actor for their pitch to warner brothers.
It was aright for a demo. But there is definitely room for improvement. I may not be a professional, but I do have a few pointers for you. You should try to keep a demo to short, 6-10 second snippets of various characters, scenes, and voices to keep it moving. A lot of your voices sounded pretty monotonous with very little distinction. Adding in background music makes everything better. (tbc)
Try to do original lines, rather than a set character. Not everyone is looking for "the next Haruhi"
do you do fanimes?
