Ooh, it's Al Pacino talking for five minutes straight! It must be a classic.
I've never understood this reverence for his histrionic blather in Scent of a Woman. It's not great. It's not even good. It's just stupid. It's the worst example of meandering, awkward, pointless, overblown tripe you'll ever hear in a major motion picture. This is the kind of ridiculous rubbish I'd expect to hear in a movie starring William Shatner, written by Roger Ebert and directed by John Landis. Pure garbage.
you sure did miss this one....i think it would take up a whole another part, but its something from which i would start defining a monologue...john quincy adams scene (Anthony Hopkins) from the movie the amistad..
Great Monologues. but with Gladiator I honestly think that Joaquin Phoenix's monologues were much more awesome then Russel Crowe's. The "Am I not merciful!"-part alone stole the movie IMO
I used some of his terminology in my speech! His speech was absolutley remarkable! And what makes it even more amazing is that he made it on the spot! That would have taken weeks to coherently write and practice. Beautiful...

If you're planning on making part 3 you gotta include "The world will look up and shout "Save Us!" and I´ll whisper "No!"" from watchmen!

For me, it was the short and sweet monologue delivered by Kick-ass outside the diner just before he goes viral.
