  • Just the first line of this song gives me shivers...

  • youtube.com/watch?v=bzgglz0UvRs tuesday morning 15 minutes of raw Kossoff

  • ALL RIGHT NOW get ya a KOSSOFF album Back Street Crawler you'll see he played the stratocaster and without gimmicks

  • Paul Rodgers the Best Singer Ever

  • excellent

  • I like this song , I heard it when I was 16

  • Whenever Paul dives in the song, he is the ONE. Immeditely he is the part of song. This is the good example of Rodgers style of singing. Paul has "approaching wizzard" style to the music.

  • sounds like the roots of the Black Crowes

  • found these guys few days ago, already running through all there songs.. guys are amazing

  • ps still got the lp

  • Free... The ultimate "F word"! - often imitated, never equaled!

  • wanna go back, great times great music. my old worn out vinyl copy's of live and heartbreaker will be in the box with me when I go into the ground. Kossoff Lives On.

  • Perfection.

  • Thank you for uploading; I feel privileged for being able to discover such an amazing, yet mostly unheard of band, through YouTube. Rodgers has a helluva voice.

  • wow! finally get to listen to this masterpiece while using my pc at work....all day n also whenever i feel like almost dozzzzzzzing off ..

have actually added it to my Favorites n many thanks for the upload

  • @pichuan1 You can just get the mp3 from here and put it on your ipod/burn it on a cd for a cd player. It would probably be a less obnoxious for your coworkers.

  • "I was walking in the rain with my shoes untied" now that IS a lyric! A star band pity Andy Fraser wasn't on the album. Koss's contribution is brilliant.

  • Free have been my favourite band since first hearing them in the early seventies. I have enjoyed many different bands over the years (from all different genres) but they are still my favourite. Put simply, no one has come close to getting that feel, balance, feel and space, oh, and did I say feel(?!) within the music for each individual to showcase their talent. Paul Rodgers is just on a different level to every other singer (the way he uses his voice as an instrument is unlike anyone else)

  • @jakemyson yes indeed..

*Free* one big name, and many others, even for me they are one from my Fav. bands.

  • @jakemyson Yes i agree. Only Clapton ,who can play guitar that sounds like listenin to a story can come close in my view

  • @jakemyson Free have been my fav band since the early 2000s lol...(hey not my fault just was not alive in the 70s)

  • @jakemyson too true i echoe your comments totaly to every word, found free live in a rubbish tip about 10 cpoies dumped by record company damaged covers all boxed up, i was 13 took them home played it !!!! WOW koss !!now im 49 they blew me away then and still do now, going to see paul in april for the 4th time, seen bad co in 79 twice since ,seen the law and the firm , rock on jake kev

  • I love this song. In my opinion Paul Rodgers was the best vocalist in the 70's for the blues/rock genre. What a bluesy beast!

  • @Conor100 Yes he is one from best vocalists, there are many others.

  • Really insine vocals. I like Rock and roll and indie. Since some months, i am introducing myself slowly in blues, jazz, blues rock, Rhythm & Blues etc.

Could you recommed me some good blues rock albums?

  • @Conor100 undeniably mate

  • @Conor100 in my opinion Paul Rodgers is the best vocalist full stop

  • Excellent song from my favourite Free album. Bought it when it was first released in the early 70's and it remains my favourite album to this day.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • A really nice song with a message,we should all listen to.Treat her well and she'll be by your side always.

    Good post!

    Peace & happiness,

    Jerry

  • @Sshelly34213

likewise, been lookin' out for the song for quite a while till lately...

    R.I.P Kossoff

    57s'

  • @pichuan1 Man it's so tragic he was a phenomenal talent and I personally haven't seen one like him.

  • @Sshelly34213

    even E.C finds him extraordinary!

  • @pichuan1 Who's/What's EC?

  • @Sshelly34213

    the legendary Eric Clapton...

kossoff was barely 17 i(f I'm not wrong) then, n Clapton was pretty impressed with wat Kossoff can do wiith that guitar!

  • @pichuan1 Gotcha, oh man, love EC, grew up listening to his stuff. Yea, Clapton didn't have anything on Kossoff and this is not an insult to Clapton. Kossoff was brillaint.

  • @Sshelly34213

    Yea, God sent...

  • @pichuan1 Or Buddha, woden, whatever you believe in. In my case, I guess it's biology. Thank you biology.

  • Simply excellent!
