I love elder geek and completely support y'all in whatever you do (barring murder ect...) but imo I have a hard time accepting why gaming on the pc is still relevant
@bigasmith23 Skyrim encapsulates everything that makes PC gaming still relevant. Just compare it to the console counterparts graphically, technically (loading times, etc), and let us not forget the vast, vast library of user-generated content exclusive to PC. That's only scratching the surface.
Also consider how much easier it is to distribute games on the PC. Before SpaceChem was ever on Steam, it was distributed through the developer's home page. This is huge for indie gaming.
@bigasmith23 Graphical and performance improvements, mods and user-generated content, an (arguably) larger selection of games, more options and settings in customization, downloads of games. Basically, everything radiofreegamer said.
I have a hard time accepting why gaming on consoles is still relevant but apparently there is a huge market for that too
