Man this is going to suck! Insurance most definitely isn't taking care of this and neither is the warranty, which he surely voided when he modified it. The worst part about it is taht he'll be paying off a car taht he doesn't even have anymore. He'll think twice about modding his car brand new next time.
The insurance isnt like a warranty lol. You can mod your car and they still pay for it if it catches on fire and burns. Insurance is for accidents.. unless you flamed it up on purpose the insurance has to pay for it.

If he got full payment it was because he never told them he had nitrous installed. There is a reason why these mods are known as illegal.

Also they do not pay for any modifications done to your car unless you individually insure every extra part that was on it.

I doubt he will be dropped if he has decent insurance. I've had 4 total losses all but one was my fault and they didnt drop me. One truck got water in the distrubutor and before I could pull it out the flood gates opened... they didnt raise my rates for that and it certainly was my fault lol
