@g3785 es handelt sich um eine Genmutation. Die Feder wachsen zu lang und verkräuseln. Es handelt sich um eine tödliche Krankheit: Durch die Nährstoffe, die in das Wachsen der Federngesteckt wird wird dem Vogel zu viele Nährstoffe entzogen. Die meisten Vögel werden nur wenige Wochen alt.

It's called a "Feather Duster" mutation, it affects budgerigars as shown here. Most of there birds live 4-9 weeks because when they eat, they feed the feather growth and not their own hunger.

Also, birds do NOT like to have their feathers trimmed. It can do much more harm than good, it can stress the bird out and then give it various problems. He seemed perfectly happy to me.

The vid says he was abandoned at birth because of the way he looks, but from what I've been reading about these, apparently they usually die after only having lived a short time. Animals can sometimes sense when their offspring aren't exactly healthy... maybe that's why they stopped putting in effort to help him survive.
