  • Hi, I was wondering if the Daily Boost herba-smoothie mix is safe to take while pregnant? I recently read in your Making Babies book that Horsetail is not recommended for pregnancy but there is Horsetail in the mix. Should I stop taking the mixture if I become pregnant or is it safe when taken moderately?

  • Are these herbs safe for breastfeeding mothers? Additionally, I was wondering approximately how many calories does this smoothie have?

  • You're awesome, and I love BHS - been a regular there for years! Question: regarding vitamin absorbsion, would it behoove the smoothie (and us!) to add some animal fat in there - egg yolk, raw milk kefir, etc?

  • @RoshekieF We've actually never tested them in that way. If you find some good results, let us know :)

  • can we just mix the powder with water and take it instead of blending other things?

  • @thesummerjasmine You sure can! It won't taste very good though

  • I'm just wondering if there is something I can use to replace the raw coconut if I can't find that. I don't think my local grocery carries fresh coconut. Any suggestions?

  • @nikkiolm You can't replace an ingredient with another; they're all different!

  • Where do you buy orange concentrate?

  • @TheSarahvaughn You can get it at almost any grocery store with a frozen food section.

  • @TheSarahvaughn At most grocery stores, in the freezer.

  • I want to start doing this, what you are doing! What kind of advice to do you have for me, to start with all of this smoothie, herbal making?

  • @Virtuouswoman011 I would recommend a book called 'Practical Herbalism', or you could try 'The Green Pharmacy', both of which we sell at Bulk Herb Store.

  • @BulkHerbStore Do you have to go to school for any of this herbal making? haha

  • @Virtuouswoman011 You can go to school, yes. You can get a degree called a 'Master Herbalist's degree.

  • GREAT!!! I'm so glad you've started doing videos!! What a good idea. :) I've never thought about using the OJ concentrate before. Where do you get the young coconuts? Thanks!! :)

  • @ditsychick15 You can get them from an Asian food market.
