  • The bagpipes give me goosebumps there is nothing so haunting as this beautiful musical instrument, I should have been born Scottish!

  • AWESOME! Sigh..men in kilts! SO sexy!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Scottish brothers take a look here:

Kaba Gaida - grupa maistori Каба Гайда (copy and paste the phrase into the search box).

And see what the Bulgarian brothers have to offer. Give it a good listen, whach more that one video – there are multiple tipes of bagpipes in Bulgaria and many different styles of playing.

  • the sound of this instrument is lovely

  • i have been there last year,,,amazin music ,i love scotland

  • it was written by Robbie Burns its called a mans a man for awe that

  • Anyone know the name of the tune at 3:00? Please and thanks!! :)

  • Gaelic? Yeah, I guess so but also houw about DORIC? Yes, there's "Doric" as the Scottish language. HEY, ezek316...I take personal affront to your demeaning (you probably don't know what that means) remark having to do with lack of tradition. My WONDERFUL country, the good 'ole U.S.A. has had it's growing pains just as every other country in the world. GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND ALL OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD!!

  • The sound is so unique, thanks for sharing.

  • i'm in it yay! 5 stars

  • this is funny but great at the same time gets my big souperb thumbs up

  • thanks very much. you lot have ruined this post.

  • What song was he playing at 0:51???

  • Scotland the Brave

  • Im UK, Scottish, English.. All this shite about americans being scum is just that... shite, people who need to slag off friends are the fucktards, theres enough crap going on in the world without hating people who are peaceful to each other. Half of you dont even play this stuff....and yeah i do.

  • Now now mates,I'm of Irish/Scots heritage and it shames me the lot of ye slaggin the way ye are,and I'm also a yank, made in ireland with scottish seed but born in New York!

  • actually ezek316 im american and im scottish, irish, english and native american....you got a problem with that????? If its such an inconvenience to you then you need to seek professional help!!!!!!

  • no your one thing. not 5. get over your american. no one other than americans likes you. lets see the opinion of 275 million against. the rest of the world. i think i win.

  • You couldn't possibly win, you're too much of a looser.

  • Fuck off mate

  • Everybody comes from somewhere you stupid asshole. You call others ignorant bastards, but it you yourself who is one. Get over yourself man. Plenty of people from Scotland and Ireland came over here back when their country was in the shitter, it is a land of great opportunity. Just because someone immigrates doesn't mean they cannot take their culture with them.

You are a sad sad person. I have been to Scotland a couple times and Im glad that no one else there was a dumb fuck like you.

  • So with this way of thinking... FUCK THE UK then? I don't personally believe that, but if what you are saying is true then not a single nation under the UK 'flag' should honor the queen and her stupid figure head status anyway. Aussies should adopt the tradition of the natives, and all yanks should revert back to the Native American practices? After all my family was wrong for teaching me to speak Irish even though they arrived in the US in 1903, how dare they. English are no better than Yanks

  • Alright fuck off about the "Queen's stupid figure head status," its got more tradition than America will ever have. Aussies wouldn't have to revert to the natives, as it was an English penal colony. Yanks wouldn't revert to Native American ways of living. As you were an English colony. Need I remind you needed to fight for your 'independence.' And that Irish language you speak is called Gaelic. You should really work on your information before you talk to me again.

  • Hey moron I SAID "I DON"T PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT" you idiot. I was making a point based off the previous comment. Every part of my comment was a reflection on the comment I replied to, learn how to read you dumb ass. Thank you so much for teaching me about how the english colonized the U.S. I never would have known that if you hadn't done so. You are 19, give it time you'll eventually learn how to read the ENTIRE statement before posting. AND IT IS IRISH NOT GAELIC, if you spoke it u would know

  • It is Gaelic. Look it up buddy.

  • no, gaelic is the scottish language, and Irish is the irish language ;P i thot gaelic was irish for a long time, then i saw an irish professor on here say that it wasnt

  • it can be irish gaelic or scottish gaelic there a little bit different but its not called gaelic

  • is it me or does every american think their either scottish or irish

  • Hey ass hole im irish..bitseach means BITCH

  • really now paddy.

  • I'm from America and I just started today on learning the bagpipes. The instructor has me practicing on one of them flute things. All my ancestors are from Scotland so I want to do them proud and my family name. Some day when I learn to play well I will come to Scotland climb to the highest mountain and play so my ancestors can hear me from heaven. God speed Scotland!!!!

  • may they be proud of you!

  • Greeting from Wisconsin, U.S.A. Bagpipes are surely the best!!!

  • Very cool. Thanks for putting it on.

  • O my god

  • You people..

Haha.. and yes, I think that was a giant glowy DELL sign at the top of the castley-looking building.

  • was that a circling dell sign

  • well better yet the song is at the end of the video ... please someone knows the name of the song...please email it to me...through you tube..please...thank you.

  • rowan tree for sure

  • scotland the brave is the last one

  • what is the song the man plays while the girl blows on... i need to know the song title if possible...really need it..please email it to me.....if you know...

  • Its Scotland the brave.

  • Notice the trousers he is wearing, I believe that came when the english banned the wearing of kilts, and these trousers were worn in place. There is a famous dance done regarding this called the "shaking or the trews" to show the scots disdain for those trousers.

  • yep the seann triubhas!

  • You're wrong. Kilts were highland wear, and while they were banned, kilts were never worn by lowlanders. They wore pants, or "trews", as seen there. Scottish regiments will either have trews of kilts depending on whether they're lowlanders or highlanders.

  • Dell?

  • GO SCOTLAND

  • HAHAHAH, i would shit in my pants of laughing if i where there.

    Nice vid btw

  • I agree with you 100% uah uah uah!!!

  • She is trying to play Scotland the Brave.

  • no she isnt the old man is tryin to. The woman is just blowin in to the bag and makin a noise

  • LoL!!

  • Moran taing

for helping folks keep the heritage alive!

  • Carry on mate.

Good work is the product of time!

    One Day, "By The Center Quick Forward March;

Good Work Is The Product Of Time,

    Carry On!

  • Okeye the nooo jimmy!lol(jokin guys)

  • Its got to be hard playing what once was a living animal that used to roam the glens and now has been captured killed and hollowed out just for our musical entertainment There should be a ban on such cruelty :)

  • Sadly, if you knew what you were talking about, you might have a point. Virtually ALL bagpipes produced over the past 20 yrs have synthetic bags, imitation ivory (which isn't legal in this country or Scotland). Additionally drum skins are plastic, not skin.

Before you malign an entire groups of musicians, kindly check your facts. (No Nauggas, as in Naugahyde, were harmed in production of this post)

  • Chill out man ! The comment was only put there as a joke I would never malign anyone who didnt deserve it! I hear the bag pipes are very difficult to master! If you notice on the clip the guy is wearing a crimpaline shirt ! Do you know how many baby crimples had to die to make that shirt:)

  • ok, my bad. This what happens when you attempt to read posts with too much coffee and not enough sleep. Sorry!

Damn, I just just tripped on one of your crimples!

  • bobnyc43 No problem dude! Ive been just as guilty!

  • are you fucking serious!!!!!!!!! get a fucking life..... i bet ya you like to fuck animals huh....

  • Even better verbally fucking you! huh!

  • obviously you're not with the times mate, if you had'nt heard they have what they call Gortex bags now

  • oh boo hoo you veggies crack me up do you realize how many animals die in the harvesting process of the grain you eat? A lot of cute furry bunnies and field mice get ground up in combines every year. Guess you will have to quit eatting bread and die! by the way to make you feel better I use a synthetic bag on my bagpipes made out of gortex since leather bags are a pain in the ass anyway

  • very funny :))

  • Wow that was cool ( at the end ) i rep the Turnbull clan and its not easy to learn the bagpipes...

  • this guy sucks ,go scotland!!

  • I dunni care gods cuntry fer mi!!!

  • Rofl I know that wee old guy from the start and my pipe band have played at turnburry hotel :D

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some 1920's trading cards of musical instruments, including the bagpipes.

  • Sweet! Anyone been to Cape Breton? Fave memory - two guys piping Amazing Grace as the sun set on Peggy's Cove.

  • Lol Only problem Emma is Peggys cove is on the south shore between halifax and yarmouth while Cape Breton is then eastern most chunk of land going that way>>>> :) My grand parents were from the french shore I've been a number of times to Nova scotia and never seen either a piper Or CApe Breton.. But I have played the pipes now 17 years...lol

  • Hello from a MacDonald of Glencoe

  • Hello from a Mackintosh. . . of Boston.

  • Hello from a Wilson.... of Cleveland

  • Hello from an Urquhart... of Alabama

  • hello from a vinni ....of n.s.w australia

  • Hello from another MacDonald of Glencoe

  • Oh, It's just because the girl wasnt giving the chanter enough pressure (as to why the chanter kept cutting off) you have to blow and squeeze LOL

  • Hello Frow West Allis of Wisconsin of America!

  • Amo o som da gaita de fole! Belíssima!!! I love bagpipe!!!

  • One of the tunes is "A man's a man..." and the tartan is the Clan Scott, in this case, the Royal Tartan as these pipers and drummers look military. Probably the Scots Guards. For something a little closer to home, type in CSPB as a keyword and see my pipe band.

  • "Scotland the Brave" is the best bagpipe tune ever

  • I think the tune is "A Man's A Man For 'a That". The pipe band is quite good. The old guy at the start and the people he had blowing were all good sports. Fun stuff.

  • man gatta love those pipes

  • either the old man is short or the other dudes are enormous

  • the old man IS short :-)

  • any info on the tune the haggis were marched in??sounds nice,

  • Edit out the early part and just leave in the real pipers and you don't need the hagis part.

  • theyre wearing a plaid almost identical to my clan's

    MCQUEEN CLAN.

    CONSTANT AND FAITHFUL
