  • Brigadier General Jay W. Hubbard was my beloved grandpa. I'm showing my 7 year old daughter how cool her great grandpa was. Thank you for sharing these photos. I am so proud to see their legacy and passion lives on!

  • Nice presentation of a VMFA-531 Phantom. I served in this squadron while we were in DaNang, RSVN in 1965.-RG

  • A family of Leathernecks, my uncle (whom I never met), was the aviator from ''39 (Corsairs in WW2 & Korea) until his death in '53, when his Panther crashed off of Hawaii.

I've had a love affair with avation since I was a child, but this is certainly some of the greatest ariel photography I've ever seen!

    What an eye harry had!

  • Amazing photography. The stories behind these pictures could be written in volumes. Have you considered writing a book about him?

I am Harry Gann's son and I would like to thank the person who posted this. Great Job!

  • No problem. I am really glad that I knew your dad for almost 10 years. Your dad and my dad founded the MCAS El Toro Command Museum together, as well as thier relationship at McDonald-Douglas and other organizations.

I am really glad you like it, I made it originally in 2000 for you and your mom.

Well, Mom loved it! I google dad from time to time and this came up. I remember your father at the muesuem. He did a great job keeping the aircraft together, and my father was very fond of him.

Thank you for posting this tribute to Harry. I met Harry several times while working for Black Shadow Aviation and Roy Stafford. He was truly a gentleman and a man to admire! Semper Fi, Harry!

  • Harry was in the Army and served with General Patton in the battle of the Bulge. Harry told me about his experience at the battle of the Bulge and it is impressive for such a gentle man to have done so much. Harry had a unique ability to "serve" with each branch of our military forces, and so we could say Semper Fi, Whooa and Anchors Away Harry.
