If you want to slaughter things and feel badass, along with a whole army of super badasses, fighting against badass lizard people with monstrous pets, the second one's better.

I have just completed GoW1 about 6th time :D, it's a very good game and so cheap in here, Hungary! I recommend it for everyone! If you have it, you must try out the co-op mod, it's a great fun! First Gears of War is really good, the story was outstanding, the levels where fun, and very scary. The second is more an ok game, the campaign is sastisfying but not as much as the first Gears, the online for the second is fun, but like people say it does lag, thats why you play with friends and just do the rest with bots

According to the game, isn't Sera like, the locust homeworld? You can expect any indigionous race to be annoyed if their planet got colonised by aliens. Personally I think the locust are fighting a war that is morally coherent with the rebels in HL2
