@juki009 alright, didn't mean to offend. hanging stuff off the barrel doesn't effect the accuracy, unless it inhibits the sights. actually, a heavier barrel can be even more accurate, as it doesn't sway very much when your body moves. it's inertia at work. it's like shaking an empty can of soda and a can of soda full of rocks. it's harder to move the barrel, and that's what can make it even more accurate.
I never knew that pencil lead prevents solder from sticking very nice to know. The barrel scourching is removed from a pickle solution but that i know from small metal working perhaps a heated metal cleaning gel that pulls the impuritys out is what a gunsmith would use
@juki009 there are sling carries that you can do so when you draw the gun up to fire, the sling is wrapped around your forearm, helping to steady the rifle.
