Or dump your 'mind' altogether... perceive directly as what you really are... a spirit... that HAS a mind and HAS a body... yet is NOT them.... yet creates both... welcome to eternity....
@ronnieflipps1 OK. I ask you if you *do* predict mass extinctions, planetary destruction, and lack of breathable atmosphere on a timescale that we need to worry about. And if so, on what basis? We can start out speaking generally, and then narrow the focus, if you like. Arguably, a mass extinction is underway at this time. Such things are not always noticeably cataclysmic. What did you mean in your original post. I'm sincerely interested.
@ronnieflipps1 You've predicted mass extinctions and planetary destruction, presumably in the not too distant future. And you've implied a future lack of air to breathe. On what basis do you make those predictions? Or would you prefer to retract or modify those claims? I'm curious where you're coming from.
@ronnieflipps1 Your blathering is difficult to decipher. But I take it you disapprove of science and education. How, exactly, do you think that discontinuing the study of cosmology will help avert the mass extinction and planetary destruction you are predicting? Is it a safe guess that you are a 2012 loon?
It's very hard to destroy a planet. Somewhat easier to do harm to ourselves. And it's idiots like you (stupid, ignorant, irrational, but opinionated) who worry me the most.
My name is Mark Maloney; I would like to invite you to visit my website Epluribusunum56. com. There you will find entirely new physics and cosmology, called Proto-space and DSFF, which are the formational mechanics composing all aspects composing our universe. The best way to learn something new is to securitize it looking for errors. I welcome your opinions.
I love the way Prof. Peebles explains how science is done and how valuable the ability to doubt and say so is in science. Great lecture. Thanks for posting!
We have an expanding universe? Oh my gosh! It's amazing to think but it is somehow scary too.

I've seen both lectures of dr Peebles, and must say, this one is a quite sloppy.
Also I think he spends a little too much time on showing group photos..
