hello, I am a biodiversity developer. I designed a park for an Egyptian client on the following concept : don't invent nature, invite it! I wanted to share it with you as it is a deep ecology thought.
Such a poignant treatise on a kind of Unified Field Theory of Consciousness that connect all life as one force of amazing beauty, complexity, and consequences.
It is unfortunate that the reality of humanity in it's present state of consciousness (or lack thereof), will put itself and most of life on Earth onto a collision course with a probable mass extinction event during this century.
I have to say I agree with most of what was discussed, had difficulty accepting sentient molecules though.
To get more views add catch phrases in the search terms like "global crisis" "cloud seeding" "ocean acidification" "climate crisis" "mass extinctions" species die offs specific to each portion of the talk.
Thanks for posting! I have a long train trip coming up and will consider purchasing the book on amazon.
He's using "sentience" in a different way than it's normally used. Traditionally, it means the ability to think and be self-aware as we humans experience ourselves to do. However, there is another, more obscure usage in which sentience means physical memory (rather than memory contained by intellect) which affects reaction to a thing's environment and the thing's ability in itself to react to externalities. By this definition, everything is sentient.
