  • If anybody knows what the name of the cd this original is on that Sacramento comm choir sings, please this let me know. I can't find it.

  • It has just been psoted

  • they said this in church yesterday and the tore it up

  • we sung this song every sunday at the same and the same people got to shouting. lol.

  • My church choir unfortunately didn't do this classic any justice. I sung in a choir with some members who refused to put in more effort as others who were more serious. So I found greater comfort with listening to the actual version of this song on the radio on Sunday morning...before sadly marching into a choirstand to sing the same song with a choir sounding like it was dipped in molasses and couldn't praise God with a fullness of heart.

  • I understand where you are coming from but as Judith McAlister Ph.D in a seminar said "It's only a song" You gave it your all and hopefully you take the gist of the song and apply it to life. Time and life is to valuable to be worried over a song. As God to give you the opportunity to instill your values into the choir until then be of good cheer.

    Keep singing and be blessed.

  • Shout out to Sis. Lenore Davis of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset, N.J. who used to lead this song with Church Chorus back in the day.

  • My mom used to lead this song. R.I.P.

  • Incredible night. The choir was on point and looked great and sounded even better.

  • My Lord in heaven I've looked for this song for years!! Y'all better praise Him

  • OMG I use to lead this song when I was little. Never heard the original!!!!! WOW

  • This isn't the original. Cosmo just re-recorded it.

  • Why doesn't that surprise me?!?

  • I believe the original was THE SACRAMENTO COMMUNITY CHOIR w/ Donna Davis on lead, if my memory serves my correct.

  • Yes, it was the Sacramento Comm. Choir.

  • I'm in the UK and we sure did have it on our to do list too. It's a beautiful song and I must say we did it justice back in the day....lol I'm now in my forties and I was in my teens when we sang that one and do I remember it. The holy spirit dealt with me that day, no preaching was going on after that rendition!

  • I've been singing this song for about 25 years. This is only my 3rd time hearing it. I LOVE IT! Diane is fantastic!

  • Thank You Lord You are everything to me and my family And God Bless our new President don't let him walk alone be his guide and make all his decision for this Country, Use him Lord

  • I like this song. Diane Is Dynamic.

  • this is not the original artist or version....does anyone have it?

  • The original artist would be the Sacramento Community Choir. I don't have the recording, but hopefully soon.

  • Thanks Row... I was wondering who the original artist was. I love Cosmo because they keep the old classics alive. Ricky Dillard is doing the same thing too, you know, he ALWAYS re-does old jams. (Chicago Love I guess. LOL)

  • I was at this session too! God this takes me back!

  • WHOOOO WEEEE!!!!! YEah Hey Yall AINT GOD GOOD! I remember when, we used to walk in the church at 1 am because we had to sing at another church before this one and they would be up shoutin and dancin. Oh my God I thank you for reminding us "Old Skool" saints what it was like before we were resigned to 8 am service and 6 pm Sunday Musicals (lol)

  • Rowoches .... You're taking me back to some precious memories. My home church in Chicago used to rock this too along with The Beattitudes.

  • baby we still sang this song...get the church right everytime

  • We used to sing this in the youth choir. Praise THE FATHER, Diane!

  • Wow thanks for posting this classic song!!!! I believe every choir had this song on their must to do list!!!!!! I love the bass on this song as well as the emotions expressed by the leader and the choir!!!! My Lord what a shouting good time they were having at this recording!!!!

again thank you for this post.

  • Wow! Thank you so much for this post. You know every blue moon we do this song at our church as well. But it's been a while since I've heard the recording. You know how we "change" things down through the years. LOL. We stayed CLOSE, but I'm glad I can hear how it ACTUALLY goes. LOL

  • This is a portion of my testimony!

  • I have been looking for this song for a while. There's power in knowing that if God says something it shall come to pass.

  • I've been looking for this song for a while too. That certainly is true. If God said it, I believe it, that settles it for me! He says something then it will deffinatly come to pass!

  • Where did 20 years go? Just like it was yesterday. Diane, brought the house down.
