  • Love the simplicity of this song! Who knew great vocal harmonies mixed with chimes could turn out so well...

  • One of the greatest of the greats from The Big 8 CKLW where it was started and Charter,The closest thing to CKLW today is K Earth 101 in Los Angeles,Maybe one day the so called 21st century genius programmers of cookie cutter format radio will ask 60,s and 70,s BOSS JOCKS how radio should be done !!

  • The members of Shades of Blue went to the same High School as my Roe cousins? Livonia Franklin High School In Livonia, Michigan! Great song from the spring of 1966 when I would have been 5 1/2 years old.

  • Stunning track, always loved it!

  • I surely do miss the girl who told me OHHYHMM, because a certain distance has come between us. Chances of her visiting here are probably nil, but if she saw those initials, she would know who I am.

  • this song was based on the song that they have used for the latest advert for Warners Holidays( the one with the lady and the man taking off the t shirts) love it its great

  • If I ever do have a boyfriend. I will dedicate this entire song to him :) That's right I'm gay and proud of it. :)

  • This was my wifes and mine favorite song when we were dating. Love this song.

  • Linda and Bobby are my parents. :) I'm so very proud of their accomplishments! Right after I was born, the song hit the top 100 and they started touring with Dick Clark. I stayed with my dads parents when they toured. My mom loves reading all the wonderful comments and although my dad passed away 4 years ago, I know he would be THRILLED as well! He loved music and The Shades of Blue was his heart. Thank you all for your kind comments...I'm a very proud daughter!!

  • @ShellyBean1966 Comments such as the one you have left, make these videos or songs worth posting. To hear from someone connected directly to the artists of the record is a real treat. This song has always been one of my favorites. My family played the 45rpm over and over again. I ended up buying the record myself at a used record store...and played it over and over again as well. One of the happiest and most joyful tune ever recorded. You should be proud of your parents.

  • @AlbertValenzuela I'm so happy (no pun intended! LOL) that this song has given you such pleasure! Thank you for the kind words and again, thank you so much for posting this! :) ~Shelly Kerr Jeffers

  • Fond memories of this song, thanks for sharing!

  • This is the cd version that came out as "stereo" later. The percussion was added years later, not part of the original 45 or LP.

  • I love this song and it always makes me smile.

    It never gets old.

    Dean
