just get the 5970 at this point in time. it's about slightly more powerful than a 5870x2.

@ImperialArmour I'll look into the 5970. I looked up the 5850 and the GTX275 its close. I don't think I would see any advantage. The 5850 was the better of the two but not by much.

64 bit has nothing to do with gameplay, it just says that thats his OS :-)

with hoax you must mean dx10 features in crysis, and yes, those were just a hoax since you can unlock them in xp by changing a few numbers in a cfg file^^

No i mean that they Crytech said that Crysis will run better In 64 bit mode then 32bit that was the hoax and i know you can unlock Ultra high or Very High if you want to call it in XP but there are small some small changes from XP and VISTA with Veryhigh :D performance not being one of them for those Smartass people ... i was one of them to day so Im not hating im just saying its NOT PERFORMANCE :D

crysis runs better on xp than on vista, what i dont know is if theres a difference when you have vista but run it in dx9 mode, if thats even possible. but i think its actually caused by vista's ridiculous performance killing background processes rather than a real difference between the dx versions, so probably not a factor.

Yes it is possible to run under dx9 in vista. you need to find the game icon in the Games folder and right click and there should be a dx9 and a dx10 button . I have windows 7 and there for dx10 runs alittle better but i still run it under dx9 because dx10 is almost useless :D
