I rafted this with NARR and I could survive Pure Screaming Hell just fine! But when we went to Lower Mash, our raft whipped around, I fell in and spent half rapid in the water hahahaa. I went under the raft to the other side.

Oh how I love the Gauley.

My friend rafted the whole river when she was 12 and did not fall out once, her and her dad were the only ones who stayed in at Pillow Rock!

Hey, what's up will. I like the videos. That's an alsome surf! I've had my leg tangled more than once, and had to cut the rope. But that looks like a big hole, not sure if she could even move. Glad she got out, but alsome sure. Looking forward to gauly, just home i can find a spot!!!!

It was Christie..she was a great guide..we had a blast and, luckily, her ankle isn't broken, just some torn ligaments, but she is doing okay.

We ran the lower Gauley two days before this (on the 5th) with Class VI - had great time!

Great job on the video. I came by in the 3rd Class VI boat with my family and we yelled to Blake. You can see us go by as he raises an arm to us. What a wild ride. Good thing we loosened up in the hot stove-tub the night before. Had he not stayed in the boat with the guide, she probably would have drowned without him to release her broken ankle from the rope that was holding her under the boat. 2 days on the Gualey, this was one hell of an ending on the last V on the river. Way to go Blake.

This is tight. im the person in the raft who hit the class 6 raft out, im in the white shirt in the very front!!!!! i fell out and went under the boat and was 2 feet from the rock!!!!

I am the cocky fool 2nd on right raising my paddle over my head & the first to come out of the boat! Fortunately our guide only had a broken ankle. She would've likely drowned if not for my cousin who freed her ankle.
