  • Are you using waterborne and solvent based paints together? Acrylics are usually water based, oils and enamels are solvent based. I'm pretty sure you can use an acrylic over an enamel with no effect. But if you use an enamel which is solvent based, over a water based paint, the solvent will start dissolving the acrylic and softening it up. Hope this helps.

  • what pansy ass bastards gave this a thumbs down? Nice job bro, it doesn't matter if people like it or not, you have talent Sir.

  • I think it would have been fricking awesome if there was no skulls.

  • great job bro? if you wanted to coulod you re-sell these guitars and make more money?

  • am confused. I made my own guitar and spray apinted it. How come I got an orange peal?

  • @snakev10v5 You need to wet-sand it smooth with a 2000 grit sand paper and then polish a mirror finish out of it with some car polish. It takes a few hours, but you get pretty good at it after a while.

  • @iscareuiknowit yeah I did all that sept the wet sand I dry sanded it but it keeps happening could it be the paint am using or the primer? Coz I am testing the primer and it has a tenancy to peal

  • @snakev10v5 No, you need to wet-sand, dry sanding makes a mess. Sand it with the highest grit sand paper and polish it by hand. Primer, paint, clear coat, none of it really matters if you're trying to get a shine out of it. No steps can be left out of it. I usually put a whole can of Krylon Crystal clear coat on, then use a 400 grit sand paper to remove the texture, the a 2000 grit to remove the swirl marks, then I polish it to a mirror finish. It takes about 2 hours or so.

  • @iscareuiknowit ok, well aside from the orange peal I am getting, the paint seems to be soft and is getting damage while the guitar is in its case the paint was dryed over 24hrs an its pealing a lital what do I need to do to fix that?

  • @snakev10v5 I didn't bother to read this whole conversation, but it sounds to me like you have a compatability issue. What paints are you using?

  • ...well if you're going to ruin a guitar by putting a tacky looking flea market paint job on it this way, it's good to use a guitar that was probably shitty to start with.

  • COOOOL!!! :DDDD

  • Great work!

  • I hate all those people who are just getting stupid leaving hateful comments everytime someone gets creative with a classic... if this paint job had been done 20 years ago and was still here today no one would say shit so just shut up

  • this looks very nice

  • does the head stock still say gibson or is it painted over..thats a brutal finish man

  • what kind of paint is the best for airbrushing guitars ?

  • Looks like something you could get done at the local mall. Kinda' tacky.

  • didnt notice did you clear coat it

  • @LOLOSAMOL Pshh. Its his guitar, he can do whatever he wants with it.

  • @LOLOSAMOL you are a fucking retard. music, if you have lost touch of yourself is about self expression. expressing it even more through artwork on HIS guitar shouldnt piss YOU off because you have some wierd afixiation with boring shit.

  • damn hot!

  • THATS ALL SKILL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy fuck thats sexy

  • I want to learn how to do this so bad is there like a school or some thing where i can learn how to do this kind of stuff.

  • yeah man there are tech schools all over the U.S. . But you have to make sure you go to a good one. I went to one for airbrushing and didn't learn shit. you are better off convincing someone that is already in the biz to take you in. Take some drawing classes at your local community college to get started.

  • You should have put the skull on the other side of the guitar so the knobs weren't in the way. Just like Ridehonda107 said. Not my style but good work.

  • thats not really my style but i can tell that took a lot of skill and time.

  • Thank's people
