  • Me and my friends march around town with our Confederate Flags every Confederate history month! (which is April) God Bless the South! :) Greetings from Pennsylvania

  • I celebrate Confederate Memorial Day in honor of my ancestors who fought in the Confederate army.

I dont see how people are turning this in to a race battle here.

Racists will allways find there way in to these things that doesent mean the holiday is only celebrated by racists.

This holday is for celebrateing the men who fought not the men who sent them to fight.

  • @TexianPride Rober E. Lee sent himself to fight. He had been part of the federal army in 1860 but couldn't bare the thought of marching on his own home state of Virginia. He couldn't lead an attack on the land he and his family and neighbors lived. I'm from Alabama, and I think I would've decided about the same way if I had been in his shoes. I don't support slavery and I have no problem with ppl of color. Lol, I do have problems with induviduals, and induviduals come in all races and background

  • You know the "picnic" etymology is a rumor, right? Check your facts. You're only supporting prejudices when you give into those lies so easily.

  • Happy Confederate day everyone!!

regardless of racist guys like these, we still love THE SOUTH regardless of color !!

asshole yankees in this video move down here and then make fun? sad shit...and the union day id called 'memorial day' idiots! u dont know shit but u make a video? shows ur arrogance and inorance! i am a REBEL and yet i know memorial day was started for the yankee dead. damn y'all look stupid biased...

  • Odinak - tell your buddies that we have a Union Memorial Day. It's called - Memorial Day! I can't help but notice that most of the people you spoke with in Georgia are yankees, maybe that is why they don't know about it. Very cute video, though.

  • Its the best holiday on the calendar.

  • anybody that observes Confederate Memorial day is a Racist, (Sarcasm) Obama laid a wreath at the Confederate Memorial on Confederate Memorial Day, but that never made the News. Do you people realize 50,000 free blacks wore the Grey uniform? Also in Ringold Georgia during Shermans march to the sea 300 Slaves who were protecting a town with only women and children in it fashioned their own Confederate Battle Flag out of whatever Scraps of material they could find.

  • It's confederate memorial day in NC today!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheEcu27 We missed y'all by two weeks!

  • @Odinak how come so many black peope dont realize that the civil war was over money and their ancestrors FREE OR SLAVE served in the CONFEDERACY? HOW COME THEY LOOK UP TO LINCOLN WHEN HITLER HIMSELF MENTIONED IN MEIN KEMPF THAT HE LIKED MANY THINGS ABOUT LINCOLN? P.S. THE WAR WASNT OVER SLAVERY AND IF U THINK SO YOUR IGNORANT TO HISTORICAL FACTS

  • @Southernjuggalo63 1. You can't say the war was all about money without asking how that money was being made?

    2. How many options did a free or slave black person have in the 1860's?

Alot of people admire things about Lincoln besides Hitler

  • @Odinak lol i see u have a one sided hate southern white me attitude and ignore many historical facts showing that the war wasnt over slavery remember your defending the same people who said it was ok to take indian land and kill them and u want me to believe what they say cmon man

  • @Southernjuggalo63 "i see u have a one sided hate southern white me attitude and ignore many historical facts"

I see you are making pretty broad assumptions about me based on some simple questions.

  • @Odinak also lincolns wanted to ship all blacks to libera how he solved evrery race relation issue was with deportation LINCOLN HIMSELF WAS A RACIST

  • @Southernjuggalo63 How was that racist, wanting to send a kidnapped people back to freedom. Trying to twist the facts to support slavery is an argument you will lose every time, not to mention another FACT that the confederacy was never a recognized government/sovereign nation by the Union. Slavery aside, the south's break away from the United States was illegal and treated as so.

  • @UrlsGrrl54 um remember the arabs established slave trade in africa(6th& 7th century) along with the west africans also the QURAN speaks of muhammed taking slaves from africa and leading raids that started the institute the whites didnt come along until the 16th century P.S. MORE SLAVES WENT TO BRAZIL AND ARAB COUNTRIES THAN TO THE UNITED STATES YOU MIGHT WANT TO RESEARCH MORE

  • @UrlsGrrl54 also you speak as if the south did something illegal you ever wonder why no politician was tried and hung after the war let em show you something else you didnt research. The Tenth Amendment is similar to an earlier provision of the Articles of Confederation: "Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled." they were legal

  • @Odinak um my friend are you ignoring that the UNITED STATES supported slavery and the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION protected it for over 90yrs or did you research the last slave documented ship? it was in 1808 52yrs before civil war hmmm the confederate flag was made in 1861 so that would mean all slaves come here under the american flag and it was THE UNITED STATES that protected it and established it here after the AMERICAN REVOLUTION but im sure you ignored that

  • "Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth." Of course, maybe Alexander Stephens, that CSA VP dude, was just talking out of his ass.

  • Also, I worked for the state of GA a few years ago. Not only did we get Confederate Memorial Day, but we also got Robert E. Lee Day or Robert E. Lee's birthday or something like that. Y'all still that day off, too? I thought it was really weird that we'd get those days off, but nobody complained about it because you just don't mess with a state employee's holidays. People will mess you up for taking away a paid day off. lol

  • @Odinak Not speaking for slaves here, but in 1860, in South Carolina, 125 free African Americans owned slaves. A freed save named William Ellison "owned" the most slaves in South Carolina. If I remember correctly, the # was around 200. Anyways, I've given you the name and state, you can look into it yourself if you're interested.

  • @sonotarockstar Thanks for commenting. Yes it's common knowledge that some blacks owned slaves and that some slaves were white but what's your point?

  • @Southernjuggalo63 Wow, spoken like a true southern apologist......

  • @UrlsGrrl54 no you seem to ignore the institution of slavery as a horrible thing thinking only blacks were slaves wrong the world slave derives from the "SLAVICS" or europe that were enslaved like all races by their own kind for profit you see slavery as humans the men of that time seen it as a way to profit money from a legal institution much like you would do at work nowadays and if you had researched anything i have said you would find it to be historicly correct

  • wow, I didn't know they had a confederate day in Georgia, I'm glad they have it, I live in Al. it's great to see that the south reconizes our southern history. To bad people like you are making it seem like its a bad thing. I'm sorry your still so ignorant of that facts of Confederacy and what it stands for brother, you should do a bit of history. LOL

  • @taurusmaroon5 I'll admit I'm no Civil War history buff but from what I can gather the Confederate side of the war didn't seem to have peoples of color's best interests at heart. Like I said, I'm no buff so I'm definitely open for any good books/links on Civil War history if you have any to refer me to.

  • Check out "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas DiLorenzo

  • @taurusmaroon5 It is a bad thing. no mater the reason, they were Enemies of the United States of America.. they were traitors of the Nation. i am White, and i'm against it cause i am a Patriot of My Nation. i do not support any Enemy of the State, nor should you, unless you are a raciest inbred who in heart is a traitor... if we have this, why not have a Nazi Memorial day, or a Taliban Memorial day...

  • @kowlzer your going from one extreme to the other, apples and organges. Confederates we are talking about 13 states that all came to agreement that the north was wrong. Read the constitution man, the people have a right when the goverment is no longer for the people, it was't some small group of people it was freakin 13 states that decided that the north was wrong. No I'm not racist or imbread either, but I am a southerner , are you though?

  • @taurusmaroon5 yes, they went into it the wrong way, they didn't try to fix it for all people, just those 13 states. they were trying to break away from the nation and form their own... that's just trying to use one thing to make a reason for another.

  • Lol at the parrot scratching his head.....

  • There should be a Confederate memorial day, apart from the common misconception that the Civil War was entirely about slavery.

If less than 20% of all Southerners owned slaves and seeing as how most Southerners didn't have the monetary means to own slaves, doesn't that mean that most Southerners we're fighting to stop a Large Centralized Federal Government from taking over America?! Like it has ever since Lincoln's perspective changed how this Government operates apart from the original design.

  • Confederate Day?

Why not have slave rape day? Selling children day? Whipping the bitch if she cried about selling her child day?

WHy not have burning to death day? Because black men who rebelled were burned to death -- often as slowly as possible.

  • Well Bullshit....er Bullship, maybe we should also add a few interesting facts to Black History Month....especially about the Buffalo Soldiers and how they helped to exterminate Native American tribes with blankets coated in smallpox, or burning squaws and babies in their tents and teepees alive?

However maybe....and here's a funny idea....why not simply accept the idea of Confederate soldiers (of all races and religions) having a day to themselves in their honor respectfully without malice?

  • Sure no malice sounds nice.

Stil -- the truth should be told, so we dont repeat it. Power corrupts -- everyone knows that. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Slavery brought out the fucking absolute worst.

So - malice, but truth. And the truth is, virtually no blacks joioned the confederacy as regular army. I dont know any. I knnow some officers who had slaves that came with them.

  • @BullshipDetector You idiot, you do realize the North had slaves, and the slave trade was based out of Rhode Island and Delaware. Do some damn research before flapping your uneducated lips. Do you realize 50,000 FREE BLACK SOUTHERNERS fought under the flag you disrespect. But, I don't blame you, I blame government schools that the government instructed to teach the false truth of the war since 1894.

  • @539strt You're the idiot. Everyone knows that this nation (not just the south) was a slave nation. What you so conveniently chose to ignore is the south was the last bastion of its practice that didn't want to let it GO.

  • @BullshipDetector Do you realize that when Lincoln used freeing slaves as a reason to keep Britain and France out of the war with the Emancipation Proclamation, thaat in NYC mobs of sympathetic northern whites hung and burned 11 black men in protest????

  • I got loaded on some moonshine and went to Kennesaw Mountain! BTW - the union memorial day is simply memorial day - they did win after all.

  • Yeah, I learned about that after I made this. Definitely makes simple sense, haha. Good luck topping those plans next year =-P

  • i bet south georgia was frightening today.

  • somehow I managaed to stay out of that area that day...
