What were the speedbrakes up for in the beginning?

@meigs68 because a light plane with straight wings like the dash 8 can start to lift slightly or buffet on the ground with the wind or speed the airplane is takiing at, that is also why they taxi with the elevators down

@genysys20 no, i mean they taxi with the yoke pushed forward, to hold the elevators down to help prevent the nose from trying to raise, and they sometimes have the seedbrakes up too. but they also have the elvators held down during taxi too
