yeah im in agreemant about he hereos hindu guy for artemis, maybe the guy the plays green goblins son in spider man? as with the drows i think acting skills are all that matter and of course no huge characters or fat ones(not drow like) skin color doesn't matter cause they will all be painted a dark black even the black guy :P i do like the hot choices for Cattie-brie though :), but what about the key crew members on sea sprite like Rollibard, and what about Aurum, delly, morik the rouge etc.

Orlando bloom looks great as an elf, honestly. And I don't even like his movies usually. I'd say Chris Helmsworth (Thor) for Wulfgar.......MEgan Fox with red hair for Cattie-Brie (just because....)....Edward Norton for Entreri (with long hair, he would look badass)....Al Pacino (in full on dwarf make-up) for Bruenor, just because it would be fucking Epic, haha.

Ever since HellBoy2, all I ever heard was that Luke Goss should be Drizzt...I don't think it will happen. I don't know if a Drizzt movie will ever be made. Last rumor I heard was that Wesley Snipes was going to play Drizzt...what a flop that would have been! I am thinking Drizzt should be more middle eastern in his facial features and speech. Banderas has a type of speech that would be suitable, but I don't know about the look or build. Drizzt would be small frame athletic.

Seriously... We should start writing major film studios and demand someone steps up and makes the greatest movie of all time! Ive been reading Drizzt books since i was 9. I'm 29. For 20 years I daydreamed about an icewindale trilogy movie. The LORT trilogy was a nice dick tease, but I've had enough with waiting. We need to start badgering film studios shawshank redemption style, until they realize there is a demand for this!

If there ever is a movie (hoping), I would guess it would be about his life in the earlier books. There is a LOT that goes on between the appearance of Malice/Zaknafein and Obould Many Arrows. It would take a lot more than a trilogy to cover the whole series of books. The choices for actors seemed ok. The two I would change are Alustriel (I could see Michelle Pfeiffer) and Artemis Entreri (I always pictured Michael Biehn as the perfect choice, think Johnny Ringo from Tombstone)

I don't get the disagreement about an Asian Matron Baenre, North Eastern Asians (Korean/Japanese esp.) fit the drow profile perfectly, lean, tall, sharp facial features. Kim Jae Wook for example would make an awesome Drizzt if he had the fighting skills, ah well. Love the cast selection, with the exception of Zak. He should resemble Drizzt more, just with alot more battle scars :)

@askdjfhakjsdhfkjashd Statham is a bit too hench for Entreri, I think. He'd be able to play the character, no problem, but he'd probably have to lose a fair bit of (muscular) weight.

Entreri is an assassin and fights with dexterity, more than anything, just like Drizzt. I don't think he's meant to be muscular. Strong, yes, but he strikes most of his opponents before they even know what is coming, so he'd need somebody more slight to play him, ideally.

i honestly think, and most will likely dissagree, but it should be a high budget animated movie with lots of voice talent. Or it should be just the first three books. you would have a limit on bad guys, kessel and Art, and it would serve as a good basis for perhaps more. But i think bruce lee or someone close to being bruce would have to play "the hunter"

But not with Michael Chiklis (but dont have a better suggestion at the moment) and Jared Padalecki. For Bruenor I would prefer someone with a more "structured" face, like Graham McTavish.

For Wulfgar you need a physical impressive man. Perhaps someone like Michael O'Hearn (Titan from American Gladiator)

to surmise all the books in one movie would be impossible it would have to be a movie for each book kinda like lord of the rings, but it would take so much longer because there are so much more books and so much more awesome fighting moves that they describe, like drizzt's conquering of the dilemma of the double thrust low

some of them i think would be good but in all honesty a fantasy movie needs to be near perfect to see the light of day really...we all love the books but it has to translate well to a movie so good screenplay and director is needed and as far as casting acting is more important then the actors looking exactly like the characters in the book...if they can look the part and act really well then awesome.

Awesome choices! I've always thought Luke Goss would make a great drizzt myself, just watch him in his role on hellboy, damn near drizzt right there. I dunno about Chiklis as Bruenor though, its an obvious choice for the role but I think it would be cook if they could get the guy from lord of the rings that played Gimli.
