I'm currently not playing this game, but it's all more complicated. Many people haven't done their research, and don't understand game developing companies.

Their first objective is to bring in profit. Then to make the game enjoyable. If you want to rid of all bots, then Jagex would have to call in for macro-transaction. To truly get rid of bots, a game developing company would have to make their game f2p and sell gold/items at their own prices.

Then rwt companies would be no threat.

But for the past few years I've been playing this game on and off. Around bounty hunter is when I lost dedication/excitement to playing rs.

(The only reason Jagex is still 'supporting' Runescape is because they realize that every time they try to make a new game, it ends up failing; just look at Funorb, if that still exists.)

You hit the nail on the head however you need to look at this from jagex's point of view:

Any company creates a game to make money (and bots obv support that)

Jagex would prefer losing the 1 or maybe 2 legit players when gaining 20 bots in the same amount of time.

If jagex closed down all bots they would lose a HELL of a lot of money

Dont get me wrong i dont support botting at all, however im just being realistic. And the only reason jagex would close down bots is to gain back some honour.
