i have the same exact quad same color, same year, and its a 2 wheel drive only i love the thing its go a lot of zip and its almost as powerful as a 4wd have fun driven
tjwsnt2007 the hmf exhaust does great i think you get around 7 extra horses with it,,there around 250 dollars i got mine on ebay,,it was a full exhaust kit,,and a swap tip bu i dont use it,,
i have one of theese the model is trx500tm,,,there pretty good,,they r real good to be 2 weel drive,, i rarely get mine stuckk,,,ppl rag on it altha time ssayn it wont go in the mud holes they take there big 4x4s in and wen i do they say i get luky,,lol i have 27 in gorilla silverbacks and a dyno jet kit and hmf utility pipe on it,, bored 40 and stroked pumping out 75 horsepower,,,fastest ive known it goin is 82,,pretty fast for a util,,lol but anyway,,ride red,, honda is the obnly way ride red,
@jimanko123 - yea mine is pretty fast too. i have a blue one just like in the video with a jet kit, air filter, and it was bored out but no clue how far because dad had it done. mine isnt pushing 75 hp though only 71.8 thats all i can get out of ti but nobody would expect that out of a foreman anyway. but how does the hmf work on it cause ive looked at a bunch of them but i wasnt sure what to get. i think the top speed for mine was like 78 mph i had it clocked by a cop car. well my dads cop car
@tjwsnt2007 i'm gonna call bullshit. first, they only have about 28hp stock. second, i don't care how much power the engine makes, they are still geared to top out at around 55mph. they just can't rev high enough to go faster than that. so,. you've almost tripled your horsepower? you might need to divide your bullshit by 2.
@trx500fm1 lol yea are you..well the foreman had 41 hp after we modded the shit out of it and my basketball coach came up to me one day with a kz-1000 engine that was an extra after a project he done. well we put it in there and it ran like shit for like a week then we got it set and i got rid of it cause i blew the tranny and i got a loan on a renagade 800 but yes the foreman was pushing over 70 hp with the kz engine but not whenever i posted that comment lol i just thought it was then
@jimanko123 man...you are lying about that horsepower and top speed shit worse than tjwsnt2007...stop making shit up. both of you! goddamn story tellers!
i just bought a manual honda foreman 500. i was just wondering if they are good quads and they last a long time and is a manual better then a automatic or is it the other way around??
manual is better becuase u dont have to change belts and when youre going up hill the belt slips somtimes and when your going downhill put it in a lower gear and it slows you down so brakes have less wear manual is better for work and play and automatic is more for play and not for work (pulling) i have a honda foreman 400 4x4 manual its asome and they are reliable mines a 2001 still going no problems yet
@mike12392 - well honda's dont have belts anyway. not even their automatics. they are all shaft driven unless you get a sports quad then they are chain driven
I ride an '05 TRX500FM - I really like it. I can shift easier and more quickly on it than on my wife's '06 TRX350TE. Biggest advantage to "pedal shift" for me, is that it allows my left hand to be used for holding objects that I want to carry a short distance (ropes, buckets, whatever). Your Foreman will transfer power more efficiently, for a longer period of time, and for less upkeep expense than any belt drive "automatic". You've got a quality machine - enjoy it!
@sithclanrulez - it just depends. i think the manual is better for pulling loads because you have 1st gear instead of that easy to bog out low gear and it seems to work a little bit better in the mud and you can get more power out of them and turn bigger tires a little easier

@sithclanrulez man, fuck that automatic and the electric shift. the 5-speed foot shift is always the most reliable.
trx500fm1 1 year ago
@sithclanrulez for a honda manual is better. and yea, hondas last a long time if you service it good.

@sithclanrulez if u want to go through mud it better manual

Thats the 1st foreman ive seen without a 3rd light.

Never seen one before with 3 lights. That's Interesting.
Glite6684 2 years ago
@ernalley 2wd foot shift models have no third light. only the es 2wd and all 4wd's have it. i have a foot shift 4wd with the full digital display.

phatrides222000 3 years ago
It has low hours on it. There is nothing wrong with the engine.
Glite6684 2 years ago
@Glite6684 supposed to have the valves adjusted after 500 miles, regardless of hours.
trx500fm1 1 year ago
@Glite6684 Still have the valves adjusted my foreman had noisy valves but that sounts like a room full of tap dancers lol.
