  • @TimEddyHughes Yes it is.

  • Thank you @TimEddyHughes

  • Fantastic!10*

    Greetings & hugs,

    Amelia:-)

  • Thank you @grazamel

  • That 12 string resonates wonderfully. Is it mic'd?

  • Thank you @DirtyBillClinton Yes, I have a Fender M1 condenser mic on a goose neck inside the guitar which you can see right above the pick guard under the fret board extension. I'm running it through my Fender passport sound system and have a speaker placed close on each side of the came and I use only a little volume and reverb.

  • @1edkihm I've never heard the guitar in person, but it sounds like its really capturing all the life of the guitar. Something that many of the acoustic electric setups seem to lack sometimes.

  • Watching you do the bass and melody part at the same time gave me a headache. Always loved your videos, Ed. Such a talent

  • Thank you @samboson ...take two aspirin and watch again in the morning.

  • Sweet cover :)

  • Thank you @cadeservesbetter

  • Thank you @JouelleF

  • woah

  • Thank you @steelydanfan123

  • @1edkihm what kinda guitar is that??

  • @steelydanfan123 It's a custom made 12 string built by the late John Zeidler in 1984.

  • Thank you very much @RoxInSocks Let me know if you have any questions on any 12 strings you may be looking at.

  • @1edkihm thanks heaps ill keep that in mind. how much was your one, if you don't mind me asking?

  • @RoxInSocks My 12 string was custom made built by the late John Zeidler in 1984. Back then it was only 1550.

  • @1edkihm oh brilliant. the one i was looking at was like 1200 but it wasn't as good as yours by a long shot

  • @RoxInSocks What brand is it?

  • @1edkihm I can't remember mate it was about a year ago

  • I never cared much for this song but this was a really nice arrangment and I enjoyed it. Really in the groove -- to coin a dumb phrase.

oh btw, too bad that bird wasn't in your key at the end.

  • @LisaJ4Liberty Thank you Lisa, yeah I think that bird was announcing a sale on bird seed, you can hear it saying "cheaper cheaper cheaper cheaper"

  • love it!!!!

  • Thank you @maleika77

  • very cool!

  • Thank you @pavlo0001

  • I'm back for another listen. You have professional technique in your pocket which allows you to focus on your deliver without worry of dropping a clam or fret buzz. To me the difference between a professional and a good amateur is consistency. Your students are fortunate.

    cheers,

    allen

  • @carvetop01 Thank you very much Allen.

  • I guees some people listen to someone play and look for imperfections. Its not about enjoying the music from an instrument but trying to see what the musician did wrong. I think this is awesome and i like it.

  • Thank you @jram78541 ...yes I agree with you there, when ever I watch a video I appreciate the effort that some put into it so I always like to leave a positive comment to give encouragement and help them along.

  • Amazing.

  • Thank you @carvetop01

  • Not to be any type of buzzkill but i dont think i liked it.... Dont get me wrong you are an amazing guitarist... but the arrangement sounded messy to me. and like you were trying to do too many things at once (though kudos for bein able to play well enough to have that many things goin)... it just sounded messy to me... sometimes if you simplify certain things they sound much better... just a suggestion though

  • Thank you @jonny12021984 That's your opinion but of course I disagree, in the verses it's a simple walking bass line and a simple melody being played together (that's only two things) while the chorus and the solo are a chord melody which offers a good balance of variety for the entire arrangement. I think it's a brilliant fantastic arrangement and I'm not saying that just because I made the arrangement but it's just my opinion...I only wish that I could play it with 100% perfection.

  • @1edkihm ,

When you figure out to play anything with 100% perfection will you teach me how?

    :O)

    allen

  • @carvetop01 ...lol...the forever endless pursuit!

  • I don't know, it might be a noob question, but do you need to have a electric guitar to play these kind of songs? Because I just have a acoustic one.

  • wow, well done.

  • Thank you bartmane

  • Fantabulous!

  • Thank you tykeonthetelly

  • Beautiful

  • Thank you rfellmanjr

  • why do you hold your guitarlike a classical guitar?

  • It's good technique...actually what I consider to be the best way to sit with any guitar. Considering the fact that classical is or can be extremely difficult you need very good posture and technique to be able to play it well other wise many pieces would be impossible to play or at least play well.

  • im looking at this and im thinking man i got to learn this but where can i?

  • One of these days I'll have to make a "How I Play It Video" for this one.

  • my face just melted after that!

  • Don't worry about it, faces are pretty resilient, it'll come back to normal.

    Thank you BlueJaySmith

  • oh my god man....that was amazing! really got into it too! nice! great sound

  • Thank you davlol2k9
