Instead, the movie is all about Danny Boyle, A.R.Rehman, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar (the youngest Jamal), the youngest Latika, superb cinematography and most importantly, the cultural melting pot that Mumbai is. It's quite sad and amusing to see people like Anil Kapoor and Freida Pinto trying to piggy-back on the success of this film and trying to hog the limelight in almost all the film festivals. None of their roles are worth a nomination in any category, to be honest.
If you've really appreciated SlumDog Millionaire, then you'll also appreciate the fact that the movie is NOT about Dev Patel or Freida Pinto or the omnipresent Anil Kapoor. It's a joke that these guys are constantly seen at film festivals when their contribution to the movie was just trivial, to say the least. It's so annoying to see these 'also-rans' trying to hog the limelight in all the film festivals. So, why are we not seeing Irfan Khan or Saurabh Shukla given any importance?

its amazing...this kid DEV PATEL hasn't had any formal acting lessons in his life. he didn't attend theatre school nor has he had private acting lessons
he just starred in a teen drama called skins...and he had a small role anyway
and now, Dev Patel is the lead actor in a movie which just WON 8 OSCARS...incredible

shes over-literate, and clearly tries to ditch the indian accent when questioned by foreign journalists

wow I just read about the fact that she dumped her husband. Her husband, Rohan Antao, was always with her during the time she was not a famous actress. But around the time slumdog win a golden globe, she stop calling him and eventually dumped her. Wow, what a bitch! Instead, the movie is all about Danny Boyle, A.R.Rehman, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar (the youngest Jamal), the youngest Latika, superb cinematography and most importantly, the cultural melting pot that Mumbai is. It's quite sad and amusing to see people like Anil Kapoor and Freida Pinto trying to piggy-back on the success of this film and trying to hog the limelight in almost all the film festivals. None of their roles are worth a nomination in any category, to be honest.

If you've really appreciated SlumDog Millionaire, then you'll also appreciate the fact that the movie is NOT about Dev Patel or Freida Pinto or the omnipresent Anil Kapoor. It's a joke that these guys are constantly seen at film festivals when their contribution to the movie was just trivial, to say the least. It's so annoying to see these 'also-rans' trying to hog the limelight in all the film festivals. So, why are we not seeing Irfan Khan or Saurabh Shukla given any importance?
