  • I have this show on an old videotape. I believe I recorded it in 1984. Freddie Starr is a great singer, when he let's himself sing properly. Of course he started out as a singer back in Liverpool.

  • OMG Freddie come to Alberta.

we need your kind of humour here.

  • brilliant

  • I am only 13 and i love his acts, especially this one!

  • the best !!

  • he has actually got an album were he does sing properly, my mum used to have it

  • "Parrot Face" was neither Freddie Starring nor Freddie Garrity but Freddie "Parrot Face" DAVIS.

  • What a guy Pmsl

  • Wasn't Freddie Garrity the lead singer with Freddie and the Dreamers, I believe it was, lol.

  • still make's me pmsl

  • his name is Fredrick Leslie Fowler...Born 9/1/43 from huyton liverpool....

  • @TheJayo197 i thought he was born in huyton

  • @nasa06 He was. I suspect that "The Jayo197" has either got his facts wrong or is just winding people up, especially as Freddie Garrity has been dead since 2006 and, major heart attack aside, Starr is still with us.

  • Brilliant. I remember him doing this. It made me cry with laughter then and it still does now. Thank you Freddie

  • My childhood hero. He was a fucking funny man. I remember rolling around the floor laughing as I watched him.

Ahhh they don't make 'em like they used to...

  • Freddie Garity is the lead singer of Freddie and the dreamers, Starr is Frederick Leslie Fowell,

  • Freddie Starr born as feddie garity on the Wirral lived on woodchurch road in prenton another true Wirral legend

  • @TheJayo1971 ...er... wasn't he called Frederick Fowel??

  • @snoopy45 yes freddie starr was Frederick Leslie Fowell

    born 9 January 1943 (1943-01-09) (age 67)

    Huyton, Liverpool, England

  • @TheJayo1971 you must be living in a different world to me, he was born Frederick Leslie Fowell, Freddie Garity, is the lead singer of Freddie and the dreamers, lousy post mate

  • @TheJayo1971 Freddie Garity was old parrot face and played along with the dreamers.

Freddie and the Dreamers and he was born in Manchester.

  • @TheJayo1971 Why who else was a Legend from Prenton??

  • very funny. great person. great song..... great laughs!

  • he started as a singer ,he played in my grandmothers pub ,freddie star and the delmonts ,he was a nutter

  • This song is so very very beautiful.

    Don Mclean wrote/sang it, excellent.

Freddie Starr is an excellent talent, one of those artists that can do everything. Acting great, singing great, soft, dramatic, comic. He's got the whole spectra and he can change it rapidly, now thats talent, rare talent.

  • Freddie is the greatest.

  • Hes brilliant.

  • Love this man.

  • I've become a huge fan of Freddie.

"Shut up love I'M TRYING TO SING A SONG!!!"

  • freddie sings " i love how you love me " brilliantly , best version ever .

  • Anybody got Freddie Starr's hillarious impression of Demis Roussos at all?

  • i have ill upload it soon

  • Freddie always struck me as a tragic and conflicted man, im sure he so desperately wanted to be taking seriously as a singer, but had trouble shedding parts of his accent, and that must have frustrated him alot. Plus being a silly bugger, people always just expected him to be funny and if he just tried to sing a song, people might give him shit for it.

  • ive got one of his albums its called after the laughter its reallly good

  • What a lovely man, pissed meself laffin' at this guy for decades, lord knows he's had his ups & downs, but blessed with it to make us all laugh our tits off forever....!!

  • Starr is completely Looney Toons! He has a GREAT voice. Does he ever just sing a song straight out? I mean, this guy has the pipes to really sing. Still, he IS funnier than hell.

  • yeh he did once and he made the whole addience cry because of the song was touching and he sang it beautifuly

  • A true genius...

  • This guy is a comic legand and a great singer and of course he comes from my great home city of Liverpool

  • Shut up love I'm trying to sing a song.

    Fucking Genius

  • bless him

  • laughin ma ass off

  • legendary

  • inspired lunacy- 5/5.

  • Freddie Starr is so funny

  • fucking class

  • ROFLMAO!

  • the best get him back on tele soon

  • freddie is the best and has been for a long time

  • the funniest comedian eva hes my favourite

    soooo funny

  • One of the funniest, under-rated comedian ever born. He was a genius. I watched him as I was growing up, he made me laugh then, and he still makes me laugh today. Is it true that Elvis was a fan of him too? Well done Freddie.

  • No, Elvis hadn't voiced his comments about Freddie. Freddie was little known outside the UK. Elvis enjoyed watching Monty Python films (which had done well in the US.) And thought impressions of him were a compliment, so he would have enjoyed Freddie Starr. I have fond memories growing up and watching Freddie. I have this clip on an old VHS tape - somewhere in my attic. Brilliant clip!

  • elvis did make comments concerning freddie, they had met each other approx.3 times in usa.he also sang in front of elvis with elvis's group.freddie has also sang in america at the hilton appearing on the same bill as englebert humperdink.

  • i gree i thought he was funny...he also has a great singing voice aswell.

  • fab

  • a lagend and allways will be.

  • so funny i always laugh at it when i see it

  • so funny lmao

  • Here here Fred. I hope you are well. Recover and come back. The whole UK misses you.

  • Thank you so much Fred. Many years you have entertained us. Sure, your off the wall and crazy, but that is good; for we all need to relax.

I don't know where you are. Long live Freddie Starr.

  • ye id love to see the 1970 royal variety performance aswell where he does jagger and tom jones!!

  • Thanks for this great clip Snoopy. Has anyone got Freddie's Mick Jagger impersonation? Saw it on tv recently and was ill with laughter %D

  • "she said'because they're crap'" breaks me up every time...

  • I just remembered I used to have Freddies album sung seriously in his own voice. It was called "After the laughter". The whole version of Vincent was on there. Sadly I lent it to someone and it was never returned. I've not been able to get a copy since

  • try amazon, it worked for me.

  • This guy is a comedy legend..pure and simple..one of the best ever...

  • Great clip.

  • Freddie is a legend. I've seen him live loads of times. His routine barely differs but I never tire of it. I had my photo taken with him after one of his shows and he's pretty shy off stage. Got loads of his videos too and I agree b00b0044 the football sketch is brilliant especially when he does Ray Charles taking the penalty. Snoopy you're a STARR thanks for sharing

  • excellent

  • Without doubt Freddie's best routine.... I much prefer it when he sings in this voice rather than than as Elvis.

  • Freddie is on tour, Lichfield tonight,
