Hey guys, I'm 15 and if you have any spare time please check out my guitar covers on my channel. It sucks advertising like this but it's the only way to get exposure thanks if you check them out :)
@negetivekreep I love this song, like everyone else here I suppose. You know, there were quite a few great underground bands in the US that few people remember now, garage bands. And Iggy & the Stooges of course. Punk rock, as it was called later in the 1970s, was really born in the1960s.
does anyone know if there is like a rare album with this version on there? this is a badass version...reminds me of my band from highschool...we'd play stuff like this while everyone else was playin their emo screamo horse***t
great band and song!! I have heard this song covered by Uk Subs , but they really destroy the song. I like their version also but it is a totally different from the original. Velvet Underground made true revolution in music and art as a whole...
What a treat to hear the raw version. At the same time it makes me realize that Tom Wilson contributed a lot in making the Velvet Underground the very most influential band in the world. He did a great job re-recording the track.
Great is not the appropriate word, considering he also produced the deftly pioneering second album, which I consider to be the ultimate masterpiece of al time and space.
We must pickup from the same guy.

an acetate version of the velvet underground and nico was leaked a few years ago. You can probably find the whole album on a torrent.

You should hear the bowie's version, it's so cool and reflects so well the message of the warhol's favorite band.
