I like the theme of Animated along with the series itself. I remember the anime of Transformers, but I re-watched Armada which is the one I remember when I was younger...not that good. Everyone has their opinion, but I acctually prefer the newest series Prime.

This one (even with the weird Teen Titans style) was one of the best TF series ever, I watch Armada and Cybertron and I never like them, the only 2 Japanese TF series I like it were Masterforce and Victory, for me the best Transformers series are in this order now:
1-G1 (No one beat to original)
2-PRIME (This one really is catching the G1, well Cullen and Welker are BACK what else we can expect XD).
3-BEST WARS (The one brings back TF from the land of the dead)
This was nothing compared to the Transformers Unicron Trilogy....of course that could just be the nostalgia talking. I'll take TF Armada, Energon and Cybertron over this anyday. Seriously, did anyone die on this one?

You know allot of people don't like animated, because the Autobot's are Darker. I disagree, because I personally like how it's brought to our attention that there's really no such thing as a perfect system. shown that The autobot side is, at best terms Racist. the ranking system is almost impossible to get through, and there are millions of labor bot's without names. That's why although I personally think Optimus should Stay on earth, he'd make a great Magnus. Because he'd try to change it all.

When the story left earth and went to Cybertron and all through out space and added all those other transformers ex. Insect-a-cons, Junk-a-cons, ten-ta-cons the ones with 4 faces and Rotamus prime vs Galvatron and the first female bot Liter1 ect. Season 1-4 of the original was the better series of the TRANSFORMER anime!

i think this was my least favorite transformers series. didnt really like the art style it kinda reminded me of how teen titans looked and it didnt last very long. after the that girl turned out to be a robot the show kinda dissapeared. ARMADA FOREVER!!!!!
- Just an fyi, both the original Transformer G1 as well as the Bay movies has that annoying ass little boy, moreso in the bay movies.
- imo, this show became awesome once the climax of season 1 with the awesome title: Megatron Rising. Starting from that episode, they tend to battle the Decepticon more.
2. Just becuase they fought Decepticons before dosen't mean they have to do it in every cartoon, every video game and every god damm comic. I'm glad they bought something different.
3. Being Autobot dosen't mean all of them are wise and cool looking like Optimus Prime.
To anyone sitting on the fence, I'd say give this show a try. It has a nice storyline, great characterization, lots of funny as well as serious moments, and many fun references. And if you're not used to the art style, don't worry, it grows on you!
All in all, I was pretty impressed by this series, and will definitely check out some G1 episodes next for some good old 80's vibes!
I dislike the art direction of this series, reminds me of that crappy Ben-10 show. Of course this is just my oppinion and I respect the fact that others may enjoy this style.

Only complaint with this series is that they failed to wrap everything up by the end of season 3. Aside from that, I have to put this series up there as one of the greatest Transformers cartoons of all time. And G-whiners, Shut up. You don't have to moan and whine about everything that isn't G1, it just gets annoying after a while.
they had another season planned, but they got canceled. Sari would have been on Cybertron with Bulkhead who would go back to his home town where Megatron was going to be executed (but he'd obviously escape). Sentinel would become the new leader after Magnus was going to go offline. Sari would learn in full what her actual origins were. Prowl's ghost would occasionally appear.
I just watched the japanese intro for this... sorry but i still like what the US does for the series than what the japanese do... over exaggerated.. this one is short to the point and totally awesome.
oh, guess it's just what you think. I personally think it looks much better than the older stuff like G1 art-wise. The characters in Animated feel much more alive than in many of the other series.

@egone123 - haha, to be honest I think the point of Ironhide in Animated was to parody him. He has a really sharp twang in G1. As it is, you almost never see Ironhide, which furthers my thought that it was a parody of some sort
Having watched this entire series on its first run, it wasn't as horrible as it could have been. It had way more flaws than Beast Wars, true, but it wasn't entirely awful. And Sari was far more tolerable than those kids from Cybertron.

Forgetting the ignorance of one, I personally found Animated to be a great new take on the franchise, very interesting with a decent plot behind it and easily the best thing since good ol' Beast Wars. The style may be to...well...no one's taste, but it's a welcome break from all this anime bull.
blame it on Hasbro, they called for the series to just suddenly stop for some reason just like they did with Beast Wars and various other shows in the franchise. But other than Unicron being absent I felt this got a ton of things right that haven't been right in a long time in the franchise.

The only way I'll ever watch this, is if they remake it in the style of Armada or Energon, not Cybertron, they went way to far with the 3d thing in Cybertron.

Wow... all I have to say NitroX, just wow. So, do you watch cartoons at all these days? You want to know BS art? Look at Chower and Mighty B. I personally find nothing wrong with TFA's art style. I think most people freak out with it because it's not G1-esqe. Well I find that a good thing. I'm sick of seeing the same basic character designs (a box on top of a box on top of rectangles for legs) for the franchise and I am a major fan of TF. It was so relieving to see a new take on design

As for Prime, it's alright so far but nowhere near as good as Animated was. It feels much more lifeless.

Only complaint with this series is that they failed to wrap everything up by the end of season 3. Aside from that, I have to put this series up there as one of the greatest Transformers cartoons of all time. And G-whiners, Shut up. You don't have to moan and whine about everything that isn't G1, it just gets annoying after a while.

they had another season planned, but they got canceled. Sari would have been on Cybertron with Bulkhead who would go back to his home town where Megatron was going to be executed (but he'd obviously escape). Sentinel would become the new leader after Magnus was going to go offline. Sari would learn in full what her actual origins were. Prowl's ghost would occasionally appear.

When the Allspark fragment that kept starscream alive was remerged with the allspark, the rebuilt allspark became corrupted by starscreams essence, the essence of prowl was the only thing that kept starscream from taking control of the allspark completely. Later Starscream was purged from the allspark was reborn as an indestructible disembodied spark that end up wandering the universe

He then claims that he was a reborn Megatron gaining the loyalty of almost every decepitcon include Lugnut. @ilovecattys...have /you/ seen G1? Sorry dude, G1 was awful. The only thing G1 did that was any good was establish the mythos and a good chunk of characters, but it was all in the name of selling toys. Not to mention THERE WAS NO STORYLINE. Single episodes had a hard enough time keeping their own story straight, let alone the entire series. You either haven't actually seen G1, or you saw a few episodes back when you were a kid, because if you tried to watch it now, you'd never defend it.

I mean come on if you think this is good you havent seen G1...or any of the other series's...even beast wars sucked but it wasnt as bad as this shit. G1 forever; Sari was the most annoying. If you actually bothered to watch the show you'd know how the main characters ended up in their situation. Also, the Decepticons are definately not pussies. They even have the human villains to make the Decepticons look even more threatening than the past series have had them being. Shockwave smashes Blurr to death, Megatron nearly annihilates Detroit. Starscream can take on numerous bots himself

Having watched this entire series on its first run, it wasn't as horrible as it could have been. It had way more flaws than Beast Wars, true, but it wasn't entirely awful. And Sari was far more tolerable than those kids from Cybertron.

Forgetting the ignorance of one, I personally found Animated to be a great new take on the franchise, very interesting with a decent plot behind it and easily the best thing since good ol' Beast Wars. The style may be to...well...no one's taste, but it's a welcome break from all this anime bull.

blame it on Hasbro, they called for the series to just suddenly stop for some reason just like they did with Beast Wars and various other shows in the franchise. But other than Unicron being absent I felt this got a ton of things right that haven't been right in a long time in the franchise.

I like, as in, am a true fan of, only 2 franchises, Dragonball and Sailor Moon, Transformers Armada and Energon are simply shows I watch when I have nothing else to watch, although off course I do enjoy watching them.

Wow... all I have to say NitroX, just wow. So, do you watch cartoons at all these days? You want to know BS art? Look at Chower and Mighty B. I personally find nothing wrong with TFA's art style. I think most people freak out with it because it's not G1-esqe. Well I find that a good thing. I'm sick of seeing the same basic character designs (a box on top of a box on top of rectangles for legs) for the franchise and I am a major fan of TF. It was so relieving to see a new take on design

the story didnt pick up until season 2 but it delivered.
there were so many references and homages that only long time TF fans could pick up.
did anyone notice how pissed Ratchet was when he confronted Lockdown? by the way today's wussy standard to 'pwotect the children', im surprise they got away with that.
