  • This is so funny! I have NEVER heard Gladys and the Pips sing this song...I learned it from my younger brother and sang it as a trio with him and my younger sister in the BACK IN THE DAY-- as a Gospel song. God will take you where peaceful waters flow. It is an AWESOME Gospel song rewritten a bit. :)

  • does anyone have her singing this live, she has the same dress on but no wig.Ok, sorry, I didn't get through the whole video and saw what I was talking about, However, does anyone have the whole clip.

  • Wow, one of my favorite artist and groups. I have been blessed to see them more than once in a live venue. Beautiful lyrics.

  • Gladys Knight has been heavily under rated! She has a magical voice. And those pips! Ain't seen a more imaginative background unit than these guys!!!!! Big UP to Gladys Knight and The Pips! Enjoyed that era indeed,

  • @captainkamba No one is under rating Gladys. No, she hasn't been glorified in the media or the subject of vast amounts of gossip. She hasn't been a poster girl for her looks or any of that other "star" crap. She's just one of the best singers and part of one of the best groups of all time! No disrepect to you intended.

  • Does anyone have Ray Price's version?

    I haven't heard it since '79.

It's as good as any version.

  • Happy Friday Friends !

  • Love this song. One of my favorite songs.

  • @staylen52 DO YOU EVER WONDER WHERE ALL THE PEACEFUL WATERS HAVE FLOWN TO?

  • @drsthurman Yes I do wonder where those peaceful waters have flown to.

  • Hit #6 soul, #28 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • Great! This is one of my fave Gladys Knight and the Pips songs. One strange thing. Years ago when Midnight Train was out , I was just getting into Roanoke Virginia about 5:00 AM, just when the sun was coming up. Peaceful Waters was on the radio--first and last time I ever heard this on the radio. Right then while Gladys was singing about peaceful waters, two cars collided in front of me. I love the song and I have an odd memory to go with it.
