Ableton has a 'live' mode where you can record each track while the song is playing. Then once all the line are played in, it gives you a mixer so that you change which tracks are currently playing. For each new line that I play (there's 2 piano, 2 bass, drums, hihats, extra bass and a distorted guitar), it gets saved into a new bank on the mixer and once I've played 8 bars of each I can loop them or cut them out etc! Ableton has a free trial where you can experiment with it :)

Cant remember if i've commented on this before, know i've listened to it several times. Regardless it's absolutely fantastic! Just love the combination of that stellar piano riff and D'n'B, it just works so well. You're really talented.

My ego hopes you've practiced this some times before this recording. I have to go over my stuff repeatedly before i'm close to having it sound right, or "sit" properly in my fingers - still learning to play.

The reason I like this is that I'm also running Ableton Live. I've got 7, about to try 8, and running through an Akai MPD24 midimap (no keys). but this is good stuff, me gusta mucho. I'll be watching this over to learn from someone more experience in Live than I.

What program are you using to do this? I've been looking for a program so that I could do that for a while.

Thanks very much for your kind comments. Yep played the melodies into it at the beginning, each one onto a separate track. Then used ableton live to assigne each track to a fader on my keyboard, the drums bass were already programmed in, so all i had to do was bring the faders up to play with the tune. Hope you like. Reason, Ableton live are the programs you want :)

Cool tune man, nice to hear some new improvements to a genre that doesn't change often. However, you should work some on getting the mix tighter, maybe it could do with some more compression. I would also like some parts that makes the song less repetive.
