hey, im a complete computer noob with no skills whatsoever, when you go to make a live cd for openSUSE, i pick standard and when i download, it starts a 1 hour download process. am i doing it right, or am i killing my computer? if you could help it would be GREAT : )

a 700MB cd is actually about 703~704 MB. It's just labeled 700 because it sound better than 703.56 MB

Ummm...spelt is the past tense of "to spell" in most places in the world. If you live in the US, then most "t" endings have been modified to "ed" endings. Other words that have been changed in the US include: burnt, dreamt, knelt, leant, leapt, spilt, spoilt, etc. Other words such as meant have not changed.

a live cd is a linux distro on a disk thats gives you the option to run linux without having to install it and give you the chance to use it first

Just to clarify to everyone who does this, when you download the live cd you will get an iso file so no extraction is required. Just burn the iso to a disk as an iso then you should be fine
