@LaughDieMi you can get one of those cotton sticks and rip a bit of the cotton off and turn it around a few times and try that i done that to my friends water damaged iphone it worked fine

Help me my iphone works when you put it on speaker phone in a call / put earphones in , the actual speaker at the top stopped working everysince i replace the lcd how do i fix this?

@TheKidDiverse I dunno if you're still monitoring this. But I had the same problem after I replaced the battery myself. The problem is you did not reconnect cable number 3 (the little one under cables 1 and 2). You need to open up the phone again, disconnect cables 1 and 2, then lift the little white tab which locks cable 3 and make sure you push cable 3 well into the slot before pushing down the white tab again. The speaker at the top should work just fine now

No..I didnt sleep on the wrong side..I just found this video extremely annoying and hard to follow..and FYI..there are much better videos out there with BETTER instructions and NO ANNOYING MUSIC..

I used a Q-tip, took most of the cottonie part off and dipped the remaining Q-tip in rubbing alcohol, I then inserted it into the headphone dock a few times cleaning off the senors and tried to clean the charging dock the best I could without jamming the Q tip into the port. that fixed the issue. That's probably why all the other people are saying insert your headphone jack into the port a bunch of times, that is probably clearing the debris.

ok dude..and I use that term loosely..

lose the soundtrack..give verbal instructions..the music you have infused over this video is crap to begin with..and trying to watch what you are doing and read the instructions is extremely annoying..and yes..I can read..I just cant stand having to rewatch the stupid video with your loud soundtrack over and over..

I GOT THE SOLUTION !!!.. im not sure if my solution is going to work at your iphones but its worth to try. if you know the air gas keyboard cleaner, the spray thing that blows pressured air to clean your keyboard use it!! spray it inside of your iphone headset jack couple of times. try it and goodluck. that thing save my iphone.

DUDES! I just fixed it! Here is how I did it:

Get a q-tip, stretch it out to make it thin, then insert into the headphone jack to clean it.

@ktharis nope not yet... try to use your headset, or when make calls, try to use loudspeaker. if its working it means the proximity sensor that doesnt work. not your speaker.

If the inserting/ removing headphone jack doesn't work just blow in it very hard. I did the jack thing like 30 times and still no sound so I resorted to blowing into it and it worked.

My speaker works fine and I can hear the dial tones but the sensor won't shut off when I cover it and still can't here anything out the receiver. Is it maybe that my sensor is messed up? I also plugged in the head phones and out a bunch of times but still can't get it to work. This started happening after opened my iPhone up to check out the inside cause I heard something lose, but I don't think this is the issue. I can hear from the speaker, bluetooth, headphones, but no receiver yet, any help?

I need serious help, please could someone help me i have a jailbroken 2g iphone with the "stuck in headphones mode" problem i brought it one month ago second hand. when i put my finger on the earspeaker it dosent turn off i cant hear anything the only way that i can hear is with the speaker on and with the headphone... which would be the problem

If your iPhone is a 3Gs it has a mute switch on the top left side of the phone. It will mute the speaker in all modes except iPod or speaker phone mode.  Hope that helps. Otherwise try resetting da phone.

The ear speaker works partially. I just hear the firs 2 or 3 words after the sound goes off. Then I have to hit the speaker and it works for one sec and then it goes off again.
