They didn't 'steal' the logo or anything. It's the same show, given permission by the BBC to make, just shown to a different audience. Australia has done the same thing.

Ok everyone thumbs up and maybe JUST MAYBE they will look at their videos and read the comments. Here is how to really fix the show:

1. Stop scripting. It feels cliche, unnatural, and boring. Let them figure out how to present things. The laughs will come along and so will the chemistry.

2. As far as I can tell, new hosts are needed. Get rid of Rutledge and Adam Ferrara....replace them with Adam Corolla and Jay Leno. Honestly that would improve it a ton already.

@gheffty93 Jay Leno already got asked and turned them down because he didn't think it would be as good as the British version. And as far as I can tell, Adam Carolla is an ass, so I'd substitute Matt Farah.

I agree about the scripted thing. I've noticed the British version starting to lean more toward being scripted (too many things go too wrong, and too perfectly to not be planned) but they do it with much better subtlety.

However, this version is still better than the first season of TGUK.

@JETZcorp I agree that its better than TGUK's first season...and I know Leno turned it down the first time but i think he should reconsider. I mean I cant think of anyone more perfect for the job. He would be the one to make it unique from the original and make it worth watching. He would be like our Jeremy Clarkson. Maybe not as witty as Clarkson but damn close.

What a Crap Show. "Big Star in a Small Car". Buzz Aldrin, an American Icon. The stories I'm sure he could/can tell but on the first episode? They couldn't get anyone else for the first episode? This is a win/win for the BBC. They licensed this American version. They will do none of the work and collect much of the pay. In addition to that, it will make the American fans of the BBC version even more loyal to Clarkson, May & Hammond. I'm glad that they don't appear to have a Stig. Of course, Ben Collins is gone now, so neither does the BBC version (yet).
