Don't get me wrong I love this beautifull aeroplane, but I think you are wrong. The Comet has far more in common with the Tiger Moths used to train ww2 fighter pilots than the Spits they flew.
Maybe you're getting confused with the Schneider Trophy Seaplanes Supermarine S6B designed by RJ Mitchell who went onto design the Spitfire, both using essentially the same RR engine.
I don't know.. as far as I know it is restored to flying condition, and only recently too! Perhaps something happened to it, and it can only taxi-run?
By the way, I'm taking two Tesco bags full of kits down. I decided to keep a Revell 1/76 artillery gun though, as I am convinced it is 1/72 in scale.. it's based on the Sherman, and should look good next to the other one.. :) Other than that all my 1/76 is going, plus some of the more basic planes.. :) Should keep some child happy this Christmas, I hope.. :)
Some went to the local Hospice Charity Shop, we have always supported them.. and some went to 'Pets in need of Vets', which was convenently across the road from the Hospice shop.. If I sort any more, then they'll go to another shop, probably 'The Heart Foundation'.. 1/76 and 1/72 is a jungle.. some of the kits Airfix market as 1/72 are definetely 1/76.. and like I said before, at least one of the Revell (ex. Matchbox) 1/76 kits is definetely 1/72.. all you can do is measure and compare.. :)
I know the outline and colour of this beast well, but not what she did. Was it a pre-war racer?
Sort of similar to the Bf-108 (not taifun, but the other plane with the same number - very light and the fastest prop plane until the reno air race specials)
Yes, I believe it was a racer.. I have actually started the kit now, and am bitterly regretting that decision! Pending what it looks like tomorrow, I'll either suffer 'til the bitter end, or it'll hit the nearest wall at speed! My last three models have all been catastrophies in one way or other.. :(
I have to sand down the filler, and then see.. the canopy fit is horrendous, I need to figure out a way around that! But at least I did finish my F-15 last night, will try and get some photos done and make a video.. I had ordered a P-47 Thunderbolt from the same series of kits, but SBX let me down! I'm going to ask TOZO today, and see if he can get me one.. :) Let's just say Hasegawa had a sense of humour making those planes.. :)
now this is a plane i wana get lmao

Hope this helps.

What charity is this going to? :)
1/76 is such a useless scale :(

Don't give up. I also heartily approve of the decision to give all the unused kits to charity ;)
