Don't know where you are now, CharityAngel, but it's because of an increasing number of people in NH (largely thanks to the Free State Project) being able to pick up on "subtleties" like that, and hold politicians accountable, that organizations like the NH Liberty Alliance are beginning to exert significant influence. November's elections will be very interesting. And next session even more so. Come join the fun...
It was just intended as random "process instructional video." I happened to catch an unusual vote, so I used it.
Evidently, the tech just neglected to reset the system and turn off the display following the previous vote. Generally, it's supposed to be blank until the buzzer sounds and the blinking red light goes out. Instead, some Reps got to play video games for a few seconds...
I think the 'unusual vote' is the best part of this video.
I was going to post my own video of the Lynch meeting but that's been covered plenty already. I only wish I'd had a better camcorder when Mary Walz gratuitously dissed the good people of New Hampshire.
Lynch is a little too slick. What happens on the House floor is much more revealing.
Now, now. Dave is very cool. My take: bikerbillnh.blogspot(dot)com/2008/02/nh-article-7-its-law(dot)html
He clearly grasps the concepts at play, although he still deftly avoids saying that he won't ask for an extension in the future. This is where his constituents come in.
A potential future vote is a powerful motivation for a politician. Let him know -- politely -- where you stand. That you've got his back. And that you control HIS future, too... };->
Oh, and it wasn't the only similarly-themed bill shot down on that very same day, unfortunately. Yes, we still need all the help we can get. };-)
It could always be worse, of course: we could be CA, where homeschooling has now been ruled essentially illegal...

Was that last vote opposed to parents having the right to choose their children's education?
