Donkey Kong Country: Mine Cart Carnage - 1 min, 24 secs

This used to be my most hated level because I sucked at it so much, or at least found it rather difficult. Now, I've gone through multiple obsessions with virtual mine cart rides, and have also gotten a LOT better at this game. As a result, it is now my favorite level out of all the levels in the whole game.

Well, for me it is just because I like speed levels where you can't stop and have to dodge thing with fast reflexes. I like the adrenalin rush it gives me, lol!

Non-boss Levels I'm saving for last: Temple Tempest, Trick Track Trek, Blackout Basement, Platform Perils (I hate those levels), Ropey Rampage, Stop & Go Station, Snow Barrel Blast (well, I like those levels, but they were requested by four people that do not like me. One of them hated me, and the other three cussed at me.)

I have two favorite levels in this game, and in case you didn't know, they are Clam City and Bouncy Bonanza.

Every time I play this level (I downloaded it on the Wii's Virtual Console a few days ago) I get to 1:28 and then crash and die. I watched this just to see how much more there was.

It's a crazily fun level, though.

Well it was hard at first for me as well, but I suppose the 'easy' part comes from 15 years of playing it. It does require some speedy reflexes.

Yeah, I prefer "honest speedruns" like yours. Glitching and using secrets is nice as well, but based on knowledge rather than on skill.

Yeah, LittleBigpLanet is really an awesome game. You can do so much stuff with the level editor. I did even think about rebuilding the mine cart level. I played DK Country all day back when I was like 6 or 7 years old. Still one of the best games imo.

I agree. I found the shortcut here by accident when I was young, but I rarely ever used it cause it made the level boring and didn't help me gain any real skills form it.

Same here. I was 9 when the first one came out and I used to just play it for hours on end... 14 years later.. I'm STILL playing it for hours on end, lol!

I dunno if it counts as a speed run if you use secrets, but you can do it a whole lot faster by jumping over the first barrel cannon at the very start and hugging the wall as you fall...

Um, it's a SPEED run... Therefor, it is not at all about collecting stuff. It is about finishing the level in the fastest time possible. In speed runs, you don;t collect stuff. That would be called a 'Walkthrough.' And, as everyone knows already, I am currently running every single level of the DKC games. So, as this is not the best level for a run, that is why I did it anyways.

You're very good at this stage. The part with the flipped and overturned mine carts and the Kritters(Krash) riding on Mine Carts almost gave me a heart beat as I was almost about to get hit when I tried this stage before. My rating for this video:999999/999999
