Good luck with the 40's i have an 09 with a blower that makes 480/545 and i blew the stupid baffles out twice on the mufflers before i went to Borla.. Although now i am contemplating just running lake pipes... Well maybe after the Cams...
Nice figures man. Ford were definitely on the conservative side when they quoted 300bhp (at the fly). Most Mustangs make way more than this. Your's equates to approx 339bhp at the fly (assuming 15% transmission loss). Nice result.
i made 306 to the wheels with steeda underdrive pullies, jlt CAI and sct custom tune 87 ocatane, and i only have flowmasters and i really mean just the mufflers
No, I use to have the AT's with rest of the stock system it was good. Then I added an Off Road H pipe and it was crazy loud. Then the AT's rusted out in less than 2 years. So then the stock mufflers went back on. The clip is stock exhaust with no cat's
I like the sound of that exhaust. I was thinking of getting the Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers, is that what you have? BTW, mine is 2006 with 4.11 gears, BBK CAI and 91 Octane tune with Predator. Still got stock exhaust and I am looking for a different sound.
@zangus1 pypes is a good exhaust system, im satisfied with it at least, and corsa and borla are good, as is ford racing, basically it comes to the sound and price youre looking for, look up exhaust vids on youtube to get an idea, as add thumpr cams or hot rod cams, something to give you a tune while your car is idling, and it doesnt just die away into a silent exhaust note
for some reason the 2005 -2010 Mustang GT sounds more beastly than the 2011 5.0
