  • I got the same model which is 9300gb atomic...but i found a tiny spwc of dust caught inside the glass...i thought its supposed to be more protective...

  • HI~! i bought this watch and its my 2nd G-shock watch after 23yrs. buttons were a tad hard to press..Great review though!

one question, how does the" search button" function works? did not find any description on the manual though. anybody knows?

  • @lbhtsl Hey, where in the Hell did you get this watch. I've checked everywhere. Any help would be great.

  • My compass button doesnt work, do i need to press something else before i press compass button :S? my compass is just flickering but not showing what yours is

  • wait, so how do you use this watch in the dark?

  • Is this watch EMP resistant ? I wouldn't want to wake up just after the atomic war with a broken watch.

  • This watch actually has my dream list of functions from when i was a Boy Scout!

  • Great review as always ! Thankx...

  • @DougFNJ i have been looking around and cant find this watch; has it been released in the states yet if not when will it be

  • @swedishgodkiller go to gshock . com/watches/?id=270E608A-2FD0-4B21-9D3B-58950AA41791 :)

  • Great job, thank you!

  • Great review, do you plan to review the US models (non atomic)?

  • great reviews! bought this watch myself after seeing your review. It would be great if you did some tests to show how rugged these g-shocks are. There's homemade versions out there but nothing of great quality.

  • how do you use the compass and set the degrees from celsius to fahrenheit?

  • Thank for this video DougFNJ. I watch tis video many time.. ^^ and I have bought the watch on Christmas eve 2011..

Merry xmas and happy new year to you and family 2012. ^^

  • @DougFNJ Hey I am a huge fan of your reviews, they're very in depth and informative of the watches! But I noticed that you said in the video and stated in your description that the watch has a 999 minute stopwatch... 999 minutes comes out to a little over 16.5 hours lol. I think you may have meant 999 hours, (as one can also see that the amount of room on the "hours" display is well enough for three digits) which would really be impressive (:

  • I need help on how to fix the compass and temp. If someone is familiar with this watch please message me

  • isn't that a moon age? the one you said that it gives an indication on how bright its going or does the moon age also tells how bright the moon is?

  • i have the mudman G9300GY-1 just got it dark grey and army green LOVE IT

  • @bam12383 hey bam!!i have 1 question for you!does your watch scrolling at the world time like the 9300gb on this video?

  • @stathisLoco yea it does one of the best g shock watches in my opinion

  • Is this imported version made in Japan or made in Thailand? I wonder if they still make these G-Shocks in Japan nowadays.

  • does G-9300GY scrolling the same at the word time???not the gw(multiband 6).im looking forward to buy it and i want to know if the G9300GY has the same functions like GW9300GB....

  • I just bought this watch to replace a G-shock I had been wearing for the last 11 years. This new Mudman is the finest watch I have ever owned (except for my Omega Seamaster). All the features are useful and I get several comments about the watch every week. Just yesterday someone noticed the black and the yellow/white numbers.

I highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a good outdoor tool, because that is exactly what it is is a fantastic tool.

  • @hero123198 no! 200m WR only i think it is not water resistant....

  • Hey Doug, nice video! Just picked up a g9300-gy (gray) myself and its a very awesome watch!!!!!

  • Dear Santa.....

  • Guys, i've purchased this watch. It's nice, but i regret that did not choose model with positive display. Think twice before purchase.

  • @VolodymyrOnyshchenko

im intending to get this watch too. could you tell me what regrets you have? is it just because of color or is there some difference between the 2 watches?

  • @AIRFORCEONESKY sometimes if you look at the watch under angle and direct + bright sunlight it is visible that digits are flickering.

I've tested ordinary display. This issue is better visible on inverted displays with 'gold' digits like on this watch.

This flickering is visible only under this circumstances (angle and bright light), but, it is killing me because i know it exist.

On ordinary display: If flickering does exist, still it is invisible for me. And digits visibility is way better ..

  • @VolodymyrOnyshchenko Mine does the exact same thing, it only at crazy angles, its not that bad, but otherwise its my favorite gshock

  • What is the difference between the G-9300GB-1DR and the GW-9300GB-1JF?

  • @AbbottSupreme G = non-atomic. GW = atomic. 1JF = Japan. 1DR = I don't know.

  • actually its available now in the Philippines nationwide. u can get it for php9000 or $200+ only. im waiting for my order and im good. yeah!!!

  • @honeymanoy Where in the Philippines? (San sa pilipinas?) Sa G shock stores/time depot ba? yung 9000 ba eto na ung may atomic clock syncing?

  • @honeymanoy

Where can I get the watch at this price on internet?

  • Yeah, wish their available soon in the Philippines and hope to be a little cheap.

  • welcome back doug!

  • I bought this in Singapore but mine did not come in a leather case, it came in the regular hexagon shaped metal tin. At first I did not like the gold but after a while the watch as a whole grows on me. Functions are great. It looks good overall.

  • @Tekhelet75 how much does this watch costs at singapore? and what is the name of the shop that sells this model? thanks.

  • @jestopacio This watch bought at Casio G-Factory at the Marina Bay Sands cost about Singapore Dollars 268.

  • This watch is like very similar function which Pathfinder has. I own a PAG240 and it's quite good.

  • actually 1st carbon fiber strap was used in 5600 series model...

  • Please review the GX56GB-1...

  • I hope you review the GWF1000 Frogman also.

  • would loved to have seen the backlight feature on this model...

    great review btw

  • what a beauty...thank you for this great review!

  • Hey! Are you going to do a review of the GW-3500 Sky Cockpit? I've been eyeballing that one for a bit now...

  • Nice watch but I think to buy this watch from Japan it will cost you around $450. I will wait and see the cost when they hit the states. 450 is far more than I care to spend on a rubber digital watch.

  • really good review ! :)

  • Doug, where can I buy this watch at? I really like this watch. What do you think about the new Aviation watches? The one I'm looking into is the Combi one.

  • the size comparison was genius

  • u r the best casio reviewer on youtube

  • Great review!!! Loud and clear

Can you please let me know the size comparing to the Riseman (GW-9200MBJ-1JF) and the Gaussman? The compass performance?

    Many thanks

  • good that you have used a good video camera unlike in previous video reviews

  • Feature-wise the 9300 is basically the successor to the DW-9800 Wademan. Could've made it to my wishlist, but its solar power module has tainted its reputation...

If only the 9300 has a normal battery-powered module......

  • @ spqqdge I was going to wait as well until I noticed the U.S version will not be atomic or have a carbon fiber band just incase you didn't know bro. Good video Doug thanks a bunch for the info.

  • Thanks for the review. Awesome as always! I have been waiting for this watch to become available in the U.S. I believe it will be released in September.

  • Outstanding design and review. One thing i don't get is why this watch has all the necessary camping features except a barometer, not sure if Casio has ever released a G-Shock with all the ABC features, and why not throw in sunset/sunrise + tide, would be awesome to see them all in one unit!

  • Great review of a spanking new watch. This watch is awesome looking. I know that I'm gonna have to get one of these 9300s but I'm not sure which one yet. Japan gets all the good stuff --__--,,,, well,,except for Fukushima Diachi.

  • great review...

can you make a review for GW3500b-1a

    thanks

  • Very good review (as always). I bet it's difficult to deal with overhead lighting reflection. :-)

  • I really like the new format. One of the best going.

  • At last they' ve added compass to a G-Shock since Wademan. can't wait the G-9300 (non atomic version) to be released. Thanks a lot for the review.

  • That is an awesome review as always Doug.

  • nice vid man :)

  • Great review. Seems to be a nice watch too. ;)

  • AWESOME! I've been waiting for you to do a new review because I've seen all the others like 20 times

  • Send me one asap :)

  • Missed your reviews Doug...welcome back:)

  • Hey Doug! Another fantastic review, and what a beautiful watch. Btw I‘m your first follower on Twitter, my username is Roevsnaps... ;-)

  • Long time no see Doug, glad to have you back. I wasn't aware of this new mudman, quite interesting. I like it how they squeeze in those nice technologies into more watches.

  • Awesome watch ! Great review !

  • How much and where can I get one???

  • Thanks for the review, Doug. About the stopwatch, is it 999 minutes, or 999 hours? The G9000-1V models have two 999 hour stopwatches.

  • @eskerbillion Correction to my post: The G9000-1V stopwatches have a measuring capacity of: 999:59'59.99'' (so basically 1000 hours, not 999)

  • @eskerbillion But still that falls short of the dual 1000h stopowatches on the G-9000, with ST1 having 5s countdown prestart available.

Unfortunately all current solar modules have stopwatch and timer functions crippled. Absolute NO auto-repeat on the timer (let along progress beeper), and NO prestart function on the stopwatch.

Very like these measures are for nothing but power-saving purposes. I find this very distasteful.

  • Great review man, i bought the previous mudman, the limited edition rally timer, multiband 6, tough solar, because of your review and i couldnt been more happy with it. Also i see that the price on it is coming up as time goes by. How much is this one? i really liked it.

  • Very nice review, 9300 is a really functional watch, time shown in all modes is a very big plus for this model :)

  • Great review, Doug. One correction, the first G-Shock to employ carbon fiber was the GW-S5600.
