Whoa! What a cool transition into Simple. I never saw that coming, but it is perfect because the customary loop jam for Mike's Song is in the key of F, as is the intro to Simple.
That buildup almost made me cry. They never dropped the energy. Trey does some formulaic Trey things like the long gliss up the octave and then an extended F# power chordyad thingamajig then into a more explosive peak. It's still always good though.
this frame of Mike's was for awhile, my most anticipated section of any Phish song. Its such a shell of its former self these days.
