  • did he died?

  • @ eowdaoc - twat!! the people standing on either side are the people there to catch the weight if needed although its safer to let it drop on the ground so long as there is no one underneath it, the person behind provides support for the lifter and is a spotter and can put his arms under the lifters armpits if needed.

  • Having a spotter stand directly behind someone who is squatting is pure idiocy. Spotters should be on both sides ONLY. WTF is the guy behind him gonna do, catch 1000lbs with outstretched arms? He's just in the way of the lifter being able to drop the weight safely.

  • trop lourd

  • looked like from one angle that the left side landed on his fucking leg! ouch

  • Why he isn't in the box!? It's a lot of weight... And it's training.

  • everyone shut the fuck up and appreciate this video. We all need to learn from this. Everyone here did everything right. Scott lost the squat because he was trying to lower the bar just a bit at the same time he was descending. The guys are all there not to merely "catch" half a ton mid air but to pull it off you God forbid. I actually practice in the gym droppping, losing, and escaping heavy weights. That's why God gave us a brain. Thanks for sharing this video Scott.

  • out off shape will get u no where

  • @mascotarulez so tell me how is no where this time of year

  • No wonder he couldn't do it... that 'music" (if you can call it that) in the background would cause anyone to fail... (except for a disciple of satan.)

  • thats actually a GOOD song. i allways listen to heavy metal when im about to do a heavy lift.. need to get angry to be able to do my very best

  • man soll halt nicht übertreiben ,dieser dumme fetter sack (tybisch amerikaner)

  • Everyone tried to catch the barbell except the pansy on the far left. Look how he puts his hands up when it falls. You're fired.

  • did he get injured from that? I would hit the wall too if I had to avoid over 1100lb.

  • der hintere helfer kann von glück reden dass seine hände nicht gebrochen sind

  • boah fuck... ....arme Sau^^

  • that was funny

  • Man that was really f-ed up hmm someone could hv badly got injured there..looks like her wasnt "real tight" lol

  • I think that's bud jeffries on the far right

  • nope

  • lmao, I shouldn't laugh because this dude is still a monster, buttt.... HE FUCKED UP lmao priceless, never seen anyone hit a wall like that before

  • Im surprised there isn't a hole in the wall. maybe move the monolift to the center of the weight room. It is the most expensive piece of equipment in the room anyway right?

  • He hit the wall like a insect hitting a windshield at 90 mph. Balls for posting it though.

  • molto stupido. 50 GrammHirn verteilt auf 6 Männer.

  • idiots

  • that sucks give him the juice then maybe he'll lift it

  • Stop talking shit about the squatters, what they going to do? Curl 500kg up between the 2 or three that could've got a hand on it?

I hope that back spotter is also alright. Scott dumped it on his forearms.

  • spotters not squatters

  • Fuck you not cluck hou.

  • fuck you! that sport is just stupid, just join the ipf n do it real.that shit is just dangerous .

  • Having sex with your mom was dangerous for my health but i still did it!!

  • ask Sean Brown from Canada how awsome the IPF is.... oh ya, he doesnt have any teeth!

  • Нах это надо?

  • i guess at that weight spotting is pointless

    sugestion forklift spot

also why the dumb bells on the floor?

    good job no one died

    idiots: safety first

  • I do agree with u.

Mind, he did have a guy either side of the bbell. The spotters had no chance as he never gave any commands, he just ditched the weight.

Tops for tryin 500kg tho buddy.. impressive.

    Just be safe

  • nice mullet, faggot! (adressed to the guy on the left side with the blue shirt). look at his reaction before scott even drops the weight to the floor at 0:55 what a twat!

hope scotts ok after this horrible incident.

  • This is the gym i go to in lakeland. Debs gym. Hes gotten it in the last few months. Scott is a great guy with a great attitude, hes always ready to go to work, and has that "refuse to be stopped" mentality.

  • lol @ chicken legs mullet macho man on the left

  • Rofl, thanks for spotting that out.

  • I wonder what would hurt worse, breaking both of your legs during a 1000lb+ squat attempt or leaving a pair of knee wraps on for longer than 5 mins. I'm guessing the knee wraps.

  • @MDPowerlifting275 i dont know alot about powerlifting so how do knee wraps hurt

  • They cut off blood flow and your legs go numb. There are also times when knee wraps will pinch your skin. It's painful and annoying.

  • You know we've been hearing for a while that all this gear is supposed to protect from injuries (yes we hear that from some guys trying to justify wearing quadruple ply canvas or whatever) but it doesn't jive. I've seen a ton of these kinds of accidents by guys wearing heavy equipment.

  • thats terrable but thats why u use saftey bars power rack man oh man

  • aww bugger, that is big though, how much is this exactly???

  • o fuck !!!

  • is this the same guy from "horrible squatting accident"? the one that snaps his ankle?

  • son 6 estupidos para que ni metan las manos idiotas y el de short gris es el mas pendejo

  • theres no way those spotters could help with such a heavy weight

  • 5 could.. but dam, I wouldnt even be able to take that off the rack..

  • I hate saying this, but I laugh each time I watch this. I'm glad the guy did not get hurt though.

  • gotta give big scott credit, thats alot of wait to get under, glad he isn't hurt

  • What kinda idiot try to lift that up?

  • Apparently you have never heard of squatting. I will now call your masculinity into question because the nature of the squat at such massive poundages requires the dangling of massive brass objects between your legs. I'm sure someone like you wouldn't even try to lift something that heavy, even relative to your own bodyweight.

  • that was in reply to basistl95

  • Brave attempt and good attitude, I hope he comes back and conquers that monster.

  • that is soo fucked

  • HAhhahahaahahahhaaha nooob

  • de guy on de far left had no leg muscels how did he expect to help catch it if it fell

  • LOL he knocked himself out

  • How in the hell can someone think that is funny. The man couldve been seriously hurt. Anyone who has ever seriously lifted would know and understand there is nothing funny about dumping weight.

  • lol

  • Was he ok?

  • Dangerous, he had a lucky escape.A weight like that can kill you in a second if something goes wrong, the monolift and the triple ply suits are allowing people to go incredibly heavy, but its too risky, bring back single ply suits and make lifters step out of a rack. IPF style. He would still be awsome under thoes rules.

  • he leaned forward too much in the beginning, If he moved his feet a little bit further toward him, he could have kept a straight back and would have been more tight, he was not tight at all, also he hesitated too much before he squatted, he should attack the weight mercilessly and have more adrenaline rush than that, but overall great effort, it takes a lot of balls to even attempt that amount of weight.

  • I understand how guys can spot someone lifting that much weight if all they did was miss the lift, but what makes these guys think that they can catch 1100 lbs dropping from someone's back. We need to look out for each other and come up with safer ways of pushing ourselves to the limit.

  • sucks being on the floor with squat suit and knee wraps

  • "i almost had it.." looked like about 50lbs too much for him.

  • damn, that sucks.
