i'm a die hard fan of both- i love them both. but i have to say when it comes to music, zakk just destroy's yngwie and well that's what guitar is made for.

Yngwie is definately better. He reinvented the guitar as an instrument and created his own genre. He has inspired virtuosos like Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker and John Petrucci, and is one of the most influential guitarists ever. And for those who says he lack emotion, listen to Icarus Dream Suite or Save Our Love, and you will be proven wrong or tonedeaf. Don`t get me wrong, Zakk is great but Yngwie is just in a different league, only Buckethead and a few others can compete with him.Zakk cant.

yngwie is plenty great, but you cant really compare these two guitarists, they have totally different tones and styles. They use totally different licks.

In my opinion Yngwie is just another guitar-wanker with great skill but huge lack of soul. One bended and pitched harmonic from Zakk Wylde contains more musical spirit than Malmsteen's whole career.

i love them both as guitarist i think they both have amazing gifts and talent. but malmsteen seems to not have the same heart and emotion put into his songs as zakk dose. i like zakk because u never hear anything just the same as him.

Both + Steve Vai and just a few more are the last living real guitarrist left here so about to choose one out of 2 Gods is really hard and useless :P

(I would choose Zakk because my tastes goes to him a lot more but as guitarrist they're both Gods)

Malmsteen has always struck me as what a shredder should NOT be. I have listened to a lot of his work, and it always strikes me as boring and emotionless, his solos all sound basically the same. Zakk, however, is one of the most versatile guitar players out there, and the solo he did in this video isn't nearly his best, but it still blows anything Malmsteen has ever done far out of the water.

Well, In my opinion it's allways a matter of taste, that means If for you Yngwie sound emotionless and boring, so he's just not your kind of music you adore / like, but I mean you do not know what yngwie feels when he plays and I know many songs which have to me lot's of feeling and emotion, but as well Zack, and yngwie said he not wants to be fast as hell, he just wants to do something differnt !! I think it's just impossible to compare them

Zack's has also totally differnt kind of scales, much more pentatonic, yngwie uses harmonic minor scales and phrygian mode, something in between classic baroque and hard rock,

anyway boht are great and truely great at what they're doing ;)

Ademas a este le han puesto la camara más rapida, se puede ver en los movimientos del pelo y de la cabeza, cosa que Yngwie es natural en sus movimientos.

Para empezar pienso que este video es completamente ridiculo en Comparar a ambos guitarristas. Yngwie es el REY en lo que EL hace, segundo Zakk Wylde no es NINGUN amateur , tercero el video no esta en camara rapida nada, ese es el tempo de la cancion :) antes de hacer alegaciones falsas te conviene aprender un poquito mas de un guitarrista que obviamente no conoces . ;)
