Sorry, but for this is song Moserites stink.. For Space and Surf music the Moserites sound good. The original Walk Don't Run with the original Venture was performed using Fender Jazzmater and Strats and I believe their a Gibson is shown on the album. It is much better sounding than this version If you don't believe me go find the original recording form the 60's. Even thought the recording studio quality was not as good the Guitar tone is incredible even magical to this day.
Yes, playing lead on this one is Bob Spaulding. Nokie - who still plays great - is"easing back" on this one to spotlight Spaulding. I'm surprised that no one mentioned the "suit" playing bass - that is politico Mike Huckabee!
The Mosrite guitar was doing great until some butt hole at the factory onno. highland in l.a. stole the blueprints and sold them to some one in Japan that made ''knockoffs'' of them ..this is a very touchy subject with Don Wilson and they did the right thing and paid back the money they owed and closed shop ..the real disaster came when Semie Mosely turned down a multimillion dollar deal with Liberty Records to produce the guitar on a massive scale [remember this was the 60's]..and lost it all
@RossM3838 - This is true. I saw The Ventures this past Saturday and had them autograph my circa-1965 Mosrite Ventures Mark V: a real honor after listening to them for 50 years.
I have been a fan of The Ventures, which is very common here in Japan. Times may change, but there is no denying that for 50 years , they have entertained so many people both in US and in Japan. They are great, far better than The Beatles.
Great to see them still at it.Bob Spalding doing a great job filling in for his good freind/ mentor, the late Bob Bogle. How lucky are we to still have this band with us! They are AMERICAN ICONS!!
Anyone else is reading the subtitle notices?

might be the first time the Ventures had a beautiful girl in the band. they use to be surrounded by dancers in the 60,s, but no girls in the band.

Are they of the same genre? Of course not, so you cannot compare the two.

@RossM3838 Check closely. I think those are Wilson Brothers guitars. They haven't played Mosrites in years
leelibby44 1 year ago
@leelibby44 they are indeed but are modeled on the original Mosrite and maintain the Mosrite sound.
