i have 2 love birds, Taffy, my eldest will be 10 years old on the 29th of Febuary, she is peachfaced with a yellow body, and my new baby boy who i got last christmas is just over a year old and is a mossy green with a white face, his name is Emerald Moss and i know what you mean about cute! i love this video because it is JUST like how Taffy is, except she is louder. sorry for your loss of Tiny T.T i lost Taffy's sister Fluffy when she was 2 years old, it was so hard. *hugs*

Just randomly found this video on here. Sorry to hear about her death. We just lost our lovebird two weeks ago today, due to complications from egg binding, and she died snuggling up to me. At least we have lots of fond memories of our birds :)

There's no need to be insulting. I follow an avian vet's advise on safety. Just because your birds [luckily!] have not been injured, does not mean it is not very well possible.. And by your maturity I don't think you're well enough or old enough to be breeding birds.

You have to cut the wings. Birds aren't supposed to be pets. If you don't cut the wings the birds can severely injure themselves. The cutting of the wings does not hurt the bird. If you leave the wings and the bird flies into something it can:

1) break its wing.

2) break its blood feathers and bleed out until it's dead.

So yes. Please asshole, please cut the wings.

You dont HAVE to do anything. If you bother to secure your home and make it more bird friendly and show a bit precaution there is no need to clip it's wings. Clipped birds suffers more often from depression and self molesting than un-cut birds. On top of that if the clipping is done wrong it can cause discomfort for the bird and not to mention if too many feathers are cut the bird is very likely to hurt himself by falling! Its up to everyone to choose but good owners dont need to have it done!

This is all true that there are precautions we all need to take as bird owners.. But if it's done properly, [which it is here and every other time I clip my birds.] and if the birds aren't performing any form of self-mutilation [plucking etc..] then it's fine. Birds should be kept busy none the less. New toys all the time, a companion [you or another bird of the species] to keep them busy... In the end, It's all a personal choice.. Stop the Drama Llama in it's tracks.
