  • I saw that ad when I was staying in Sydney for 2 weeks when I was a kid and I can still remember the words! Awesome ad.

  • looks like its either Burwood, Strathfield, Old Chatswood or idk

  • Milsons Point?

  • I think you may be right.

  • @jazzamcc Thought so, because of the North Sydney skyline you can see in the background.

Must've blocked the North Shore line for a while, though.

  • That Train was a G Set

  • @Bails992 you can tell by the coding of the Tangara. D is suburban while OD is Interurban.

  • you can tell it was filmed at central station

  • It's not Central. Central has never had the white fence surrounding the stairs, never had the red seats and has never had the red poles.

  • They didn't mention, Drunks, Drug Addicts, Faggots, Homeless People, Mental Health Escapees. Should I continue?

  • LOL so true!!! hahahahaha

  • they took this ad down for a reason..

  • I was 14 when I 1st saw this commercial in 1994! It was all hype designed to fool the public! They picked the 1 & only best station to film it all in! That the network was entering a "brash, bold, new era!" Bulldust! The trains continue to breakdown often, the stations on Carlingford Line are still stuck in the '60s, signal failures galore & Redfern still looks like a dump! The Easy Access program is still crawling at a snails pace & overhead wires have come down 8 TIMES in the last 2 yrs!

  • Do you have the second ad that was in the same style?

  • I can see this ad making a comeback lol...Just change the newspaper and it should be fine.

  • It is filmed at Sydney Central Station

  • this makes me even more less likely to use the train now!

  • where was the g set at. i saw this commercial many times but where was it.

  • Groovy!

  • That was an interesting tracking shot through the vestibule. Was it anything high-tech for 1994? Or just very careful and a bit of manual correction in post-production?

  • Interesting!

  • LOL!!!!!!!

  • lol!!!!

  • I saw this on TV TODAY!!! So it must be like 13 years old and theyre still showing it on tv!

  • Omg that ad is so old school! Brings me back lol

  • Wow, I remember this - from around 1993 or so? The Telegraph ran a story interviewing the woman in the ad and crediting the campaign for increased passenger numbers. Do you have the first version of the ad where the jingle and costumes are based on recreational activities rather than work?

  • Is from 1994 (READ THE DESCRIPTION!!!)

  • Nice bit of kickback for some product placement, eh? :)
