Rugby, New Zealands most popular sport allegedly. Look at the half empty stadium, imagine that in most countries showpiece sport events. Shows how apathetic Kiwi's are towards Rugby really.
@driffter1976 Considering it had been pissing down with rain all day and everyone knew who was going to win anyway, its not that much of a surprise. It was a provincial game, and everyone was up north for the Kiwi's Kangaroo's league test. A real tribute to this countries love for our sport was the 2009 Tri Nations. Every home game was a sell out. If you want to rip out a country for its support of sport, look elsewhere. Cause ya can't fault the kiwi's.
@driffter1976 Well the reason I made the comment is because it's always been that way, especially provincial rugger. Even when I was still living in NZ back in the late 90's empty stadiums were common. It was always hard to fathom when we were always brainwashed into what a rugby loving country we were.
@driffter1976 i agree with you man, im a kiwi who lives in aussie (melbourne) and man if its not a all black match NZ dont really show up to rugby matches the way they should for a mad rugby nation (even super rugby matches ur lucky to get over 10,000)...Aussie rules averege at lest 40,000 just for a regular season match, and if its a team like collingwood its common to get 80,000...and i hate aussie rules but down here in melbs they know how to get out in support a team!
Cos Canterbury are used to winning so they don't bother turning up, Waikato stadium will be PACKED for the final tomorrow
