Hello sir, this is Instructor Elbert, I'm the Instructor who judged your power break. I never got to apologize but I almost got you DQ'd because I crossed my arms (Thats why the head master came over to make sure). Congratulations on such a great power break and congratulations on your Grand Championship win!
Congratulations, Looks like 10 boards with a great hand strike. I am a Green belt in TMA at Ballys in Houston. We were using elbow strikes, I won the grand championship breaking 20 boards November 7th (search for David Power Breaking)
First of congratulations, second it look like there was no form just dropping your body on the boards. That said whatever works, works. (I was there to, braking not power braking got eliminated before the championship got 2nd place)
Kade, the camera angle is not very good, so what you don't see is the downward punch that preceded what looks like my body dropping on the boards. You cannot just drop your body weight on it, it doesn't work. You need speed and accuracy in order to break the boards. I hit it so hard and fast that my hand actually hit the ground brfore I realized it and I jumped back up.
